I received great customer service when I didn't receive my parcel. My emails were answered straight away and a delivery time to suit me was organised. All previous orders have arrived without any problems.

I received a sample piece of webbing in a first-class manner. Polite and fast service thank you. I have never dealt with you guys before, but I do think customers can be a little unfair at times. Our businesses are very important to us and we sweat blood going through a huge amount of stress often working long hours 7 days a week to keep the said business supplying materials/products to customers. Please remember when leaving bad reviews that you probably ruined someone's day. I know I take these types of things to heart, too much sometimes, but it means a lot to us that customers are happy and when they are not, we get upset too. It can be difficult to remain polite when customers are unfair, so remember this and maybe cut them some slack next time and remember they are doing their best.

I ordered some fleece on a Sunday evening, and it arrived on Tuesday morning using 1st class post. Great quality fleece and brilliant service. Thank you

I ordered fabric plus some headliner for bagmaking. When it didn't arrive I contacted them by email. They rang me almost immediately to aplogise and explain that the fabric was out of stock. They offered a refund which I accepted. 2 days later the headliner arrived plus an unasked for rivet kit. I can only assume this was a form of compensation. They then refunded my full account. SUPERB service. Will use again.

I have also found their customer service to be terrible. I have been trying to get wholesale prices for weeks. I was told that Chris was “very busy” but gave up waiting after 4 weeks. Contacted Charles who apologised and promised prices that evening. No prices! Promised again the next day. No prices. Tried the office. Didn’t come back to me. Tried again the following week. Didn’t come back to me. I placed an order with the 5th person without knowing what i was going to be-charged for all but one item. Chased order the following week. Didn’t come back to me. Emailed on monday. Still no reply. I run my own business and if i treated new customers like this I know they wouldn’t come back. Who knows if i will ever get any fabric from them. Shocking service.

Hi I ordered and paid for a roll of wadding at the Dublin show, but I havnt received it or I havnt received any communication as to when it will arrive. I received one email asking me did I order the roll at the show!! Nothing since to daily emails and no reply to lots of phone messages left on their answering machine. Hopefully this message will prompt someone at Empress to get in contact. I will let everyone know how I get on. Thanks Empress Mills you have great stock, waiting to see your batting now.....

Still waiting for my order which I made over a week ago. Should have gone to Amazon instead. Thought I would try and support a quilt supply shop, but if it takes more than a week to even get to the 'dispatched' stage there is no incentive. I won't be looking to be a customer again.

Ordered 8 metres of fabric last Friday for an order for my own customer plus some to keep in stock as I know the fabric is limited edition. (I make nursery bedding). Paid extra for first class delivery. A week later, no fabric, no apology and I've had to offer my customer a 50% refund while I wait for the fabric which I have been forced to order elsewhere.

Every email I sent chasing the fabric was met with a curt response and absolutely no attempt to apologise. I received a phone call today informing me the fabric would not be with me again today (apparently delivery was attempted at 11am, when I was sat at my kitchen table in a completely silent house), I asked for the order to be cancelled and refunded and the phone was slammed down on me at the end of the conversation.



I realise things happen as postage isn't always reliable but what has really put me off buying from this company again is the poor customer service. I eagerly await my refund as I am now not only out of pocket for the material but also the partial refund I have had to offer my customer due to the delay.

I have tried to purchase thread in very large wholesale quantities since meeting with them at Dublin show

They took 2months to send a sample (i had to call three times to remind them before it was sent, and kept being told "fingers crossed" it might be another week or two")

This week i have tried to contact the man i spoke to in Dublin (who obviously is unaware how ineffective his staff are) to order, ascertain prices and colours as this product is not on their website

After leaving three messages and no return phone call

I was RUDELY told by a very classless woman to send an email as she and he are too busy to talk to me then she hung up on me

Their arrogance and rudeness is appalling!

Empress mills may have started long ago, but if they keep up this attitude to their customers I predict they wont last much longer, nor do they deserve to

They have certainly lost my business
