Exercise classes at EASTON, HENBURY & HORFIELD leisure centres & EA Stadium CLEVEDON for people affected cancer & would like supervised structured activity
Energise - Exercise Based Cancer Rehab Description
Energise exercise classes are designed specifically for individuals who have had cancer and whose quality of life can be maintained or improved through taking part in regular, supervised exercise classes with specially qualified fitness instructors.
Energise is a partnership between Macmillan Cancer Services, North Bristol NHS Trust, Everyone Active and Bristol City Council.
The programme is partly based in the gym, using the equipment available e. g. bikes, treadmills, rowing machines, as well as a circuit programme in the studio, similar to the hospital based programme. Each participant is given a personalised individual programme, including a mixture of aerobic and resistance exercise. All programmes are designed to be a stepping stone back to physical activity, to be informal and fun.
The programme runs at Everyone Active sites: Easton Leisure Centre, Henbury Leisure Centre, Horfield Leisure Centre and the Everyone Active Stadium in Clevedon.
