Established in 2015 by rural businesswoman and entrepreneur, Helen Gutteridge, Englana® is a brand that epitomises natural, British luxury.
"In a former life I was a musician with a love of history and I have always adored beautiful things that celebrate style, elegance and design. I am passionate about our heritage, our history and our wonderful countryside, having my own family roots in farming and agriculture. "
Established in 2015, Englana® is a brand that epitomises natural, British luxury. Englana®’s beautiful, luxurious products are made from the highest quality materials that age gracefully and stand the test of time. Englana® is synonymous with stylish design that celebrates our English heritage.
“Englana® was born in Shropshire in the heart of England. It is hard not to be inspired by these surrounding landscapes, in some of England's finest hill country. I wanted to create a product that would, in its design, capture the natural elements of our environment whilst utilising exclusive yarns, fibres and raw materials. The wonderful materials that are used at Englana® are as natural as possible - wool, cottons, leather, linens - and are made using traditional British craftsmanship, which we both champion and celebrate. At Englana® I was determined to create a distinctly British luxury brand that would support Bristish manufacturers, businesses and jobs. All the raw materials have been sourced in England and, as our early prosperity and wealth was founded on the wool and leather trades and the cotton and textiles mills, this seemed an obvious place to start.
"With an ethos, the craftsmen and women ready, the materials sourced and the desire firmly ignited, Englana® was born.
"Englana®’s very first luxury product was The Rupert and he now sits alongside a core range of stunning items for those discerning customers who yearn for something special that will last a lifetime. It has been an incredible journey so far, filled with new discoveries, with learning, with fun and inevitable frustrations. I am proud to now lead a team of wonderful people who share my aim, believe in our ethos and have worked with us to create the luxury English products that proudly bear the name 'Englana®’.
