I guess its time for an update here!
When we started this was the plan:

"Vintage Land Rover Adventures is a camper hire company for those looking for a classy, distinctive adventure holiday. Similar to the VW community Series Land Rovers are always recognised where ever you go! Unlike so many things these days Land Rovers are the object of appreciation rather than envy! Be sure to wave at any you meet!
Right now we are busy restoring the campers so that they will be in top form. There will be two Land Rovers available, our little lady 1961 Series II, she is very original for the authentic experience and 1982 Series 3, fully equipped but with a more powerful 200 Turbo Diesel engine for much improved economy.
Feel free to follow us on the journey, depending on progress, first bookings will be late Autumn 2014 but we'll keep you informed! : -)"

May 2015. . .
This is still the plan! A thriving spares business has emerged but we are still rebuilding a series 2a and a 200tdi Defender at the moment and they will be available for self drive hire but at the current glacial pace not until late August 2015 I suspect! The process of simultaneously rebuilding, modifying and designing a new product is a challenge! ! We want them to be right and look right! Nothing 'off the shelf' fits the bill at the present! !
