We are an Spanish marriage and we have been living and working in Leeds during two years. We have two cars, as we are in a good position fortunately, however as we needed a bigger car for a special occasion, we decided to rent a car in this place. After booking and paying, we went to pick it up. We found that they started making up excuses to not rent a car. The very first one was about the driven licence.
We were told at that moment that if you have been living more than six months in England, you needed an English licence. We showed them their own rules, which we had read carefuly the day before and it didn´t say anything about it; just an european licence required. Even in my work I have to travel quite often and I was told my European driving licence was ok. They were embarrased and confused, nevertheless from that moment on, they started making up bizarre excuses about everything to not rent us a car. As soon as we noticed what they wanted or better said, what they didn't want, we left.
But the funniest thing is that we picked that place because one year ago, we had an accident and the insurance company rented a car for us... from this place.
Well, thank you anyway.

Chicos, hay sitios mejores que este, puedo asegurarlo. Agradecería vuestro apoyo y que ningún español alquile aquí un coche. Os ahorraríais la pérdida de tiempo y cierta incertidumbre de si te van a devolver el dinero o se van a hacer los suecos también. Gracias

Alright. As usual overpriced for what you get. Cars are basic. Last one I rented wasn't very clean and had barely any fuel in when I got it.

Excellent customer service from the staff at the gelderd road depot in Leeds. Booking was straight forward and no problems​ when picking up vehicle and dropping it off. I left an item in the vehicle when i dropped it off and the staff went above and beyond to retrieve it. Couldn't ask for better service. Thank you.

I arrived with a car I was dropping off having driven up from Bath. I arrived just before the branch closed, but the staff were helpful.
