Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Car provisionally booked in a week prior to collection only to be advised upon collection that the price was set at booking. On the day the price was lower that was queried however I was given 2 differently opposing reasons as to what I was charged.

Applied for a business account and 2 months later still no news or contact and given excuses that lines are down which is a poor excuse considering staff were on landlines!

The car interior was dirty as well the screens...not the best experience on 2 bookings so now I will have to travel over 100 miles to get a better service from another branch

While very convenient, the location was very crowded with vehicles, and was difficult to navigate in a van, especially a hire one you don't want to damage.

But the staff were excellent, the opening hours are good on Sundays and the price is reasonable.

Very competitive pricing. People are also very nice and they are open on Sundays until 4 pm. I only arrived at 5 pm and they still took my car back. Thanks! Only drawback is that there's no key drop off box.

Promised Mercedes given Hyundai.
Not advised of not having availability and left without choice charged over £270 for their error!

Do not make my mistake

Booked for pick up at our campsite for between 3.00pm and 3.30pm note Monday
Clearly when ordering to ask if they would be on time as the previous 3 hiring as
always been late I was assured would be on time but after waiting till 4.30pm I
decided to ring Oxford branch to be told I was a walk in ,they then sent a taxi for
me.Although I was given a discount I don't think it was enough compensation.

Excellent apart from

asking about the purpose of the hire - rather an intrusive question. it might be for happy purposes but it could be in order to attend a funeral.

More privacy required at check-in, particularly when divulging personal information eg names, addresses etc.

Absolutely brilliant staff. Helpful and friendly. Have rented 2 vehicles in the past month (needed something bigger than my car to cart around visiting family) and both times the staff was helpful and friendly. No pushy upsell, just what I needed and a ride home to boot. :) Will happily rent here again.

Very poor experiences here. I have been charged for existing damage to the vehicles I have hired, and on one occasion they did not even have a car available to fulfil my booking (their response being to condescendingly tell me I should have planned my weekend better).

Booked a van using the online form. They day before I needed it they phone to say 'due to a new identity checking process you have not passed our checks. Can you pay by credit card to resolve this instead of debit card'. This was my only option. Not having a credit meant that they had to cancel the reservation. All in all a complete waste of time. The ID checking criteria should be available to you whilst booking a vehicle if this is causing a problem. Happy to take my money at the first available opportunity then not follow through with any form of options other than asking for a credit card. Wasted my time and put me in a difficult situation to rent another van at late notice to move house. Thanks Enterprise! Your 'customer focused' adverts are obviously a complete lie!

Due to a claim I had to put through my car insurance I was without a car for 3 weeks. My insurance company directed me to Enterprise for the courtesy car while my car was being repaired.

The customer service was excellent. The staff were polite, knowledgeable and customer focused. The repair took longer than expected but during the process I was kept up to date with the situation and they couldn't have been more helpful.

The condition of the cars was very good, although one did have a strong smell of cigarettes which was a bit off putting.

If I ever need a hire car in future I'll definitely be heading their way.

Staff are friendly and don't waste time. Great that they pick you up and drop you off.
