Environmental Noise Accreditation

About Environmental Noise Accreditation

Establishing your airport as a frontrunner in the race for excellence within noise management. DescriptionEnvironmental Noise Accreditation (ENA) is the world's first, independent accreditation programme that recognises and accredits the efforts and achievements of airports to manage noise and establishes a roadmap for continuous improvement. The new, and unique three-stage accreditation process audits airports against international noise targets laid down by ICAO, the EU, Sustainable Aviation and the UK Department for Transport. ENA puts each individual airport's commitment to noise management under the microscope, bringing into sharp focus the positive steps it is making to improve its performance. The various noise initiatives employed by an airport are brought together under one process, and through detailed interviews, observations and investigations, the airport's commitment to noise management is assessed using the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) excellence model. Approved auditors and noise experts carry out every stage of the accreditation programme.
