Erewash Borough Council Description

The borough of Erewash lies in east Derbyshire and was formed on 1 April 1974. It has an estimated population of 112, 200 people and its main towns are Ilkeston, Long Eaton and Sandiacre.

Council staff are based predominantly in either Long Eaton or Ilkeston town halls. There are currently 47 councillors serving wards across the borough.

Erewash Borough Council provides a range of services including refuse and recycling, planning, parks and culture and leisure. It also controls the award-winning Erewash Museum.
