Just a nice little quote!
An opportunity to treat yourself or a loved one to an afternoon of gentle meditation followed by an informal painting session inspired by the beauty of Spring. We will be using artist grade acrylics and canvases to paint our very own piece of art to take home and treasure! This workshop is for beginners and more experienced alike . . .
This workshop is facilitated by Joanna Spragg, local Artist and owner of Escape2Art who provides tuition and parties and 1:1 sessions across ...a broad range of art mediums. Joanna sells her own work which can be found on her website. www.escape2art.co.uk
Joanna will be hosting this event with Claire Gardner, a local Therapist and Healer. Claire will be guiding us into a meditation aimed at clearing our minds of day to day worries which will set us up for a beautiful afternoon of painting from the soul. Claire has been a Healer for 18 years, having worked in hospitals, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice as well as in UK Healing Centres and on a 1:1 basis with many patients. Claire also holds workshops where she teaches people the benefits of healing. www.clairegardnerhealing.com
We are both passionate about the healing benefits of art and relaxation and are so excited to be able to collaborate to bring this workshop to you. The event is 2.5hrs and the cost is £45 per person. This includes all materials, unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits and, of course, you will get to keep and cherish the art that you have created (please dress for mess!).

Pay as you go - just £15 for 2 hours, all materials included plus gorgeous fresh coffee. 10.30-12.30 www.escape2art.co.uk/book-online or give me a call on 07917 567888. Thanks Jo
A lovely opportunity for kids age 9-12 to paint a special gift for Mother's Day. I have been using Pebeo Glass paints for years and have found them to be excellent and very strong and robust - even staying put in dishwashers. I have a beautiful array of colours available and as they are water based they are ideal for children to use and perfect for decorating something for Mum on her special day. (Mother's Day is the following Sunday March 31st) Children can be dropped off at 2pm and collected at 3.30pm. I will bake the glasses myself so they can be picked up a few days later. Cost includes all paints & materials, one stemless wine glass, tuition and a presentation box.
Love the utterly modern simplicity of this
I find this time in the eve so tricky but some of you might be able to join in?....
Some of us were discussing the Affordable Art Fair during this morning's session - one of my favourite events! The Battersea one is in March, here are the details:
What a lovely way to spend an evening. I haven't painted for years and came across this and thought it sounded fun. Jo and Kate were so welcoming and hospitable (prosecco + nibbles + art = :) They guided us through the techniques and were on hand to help and encourage us. I'm delighted with my paintings and will be booking another class very soon.
Such lovely relaxed evening! I was a little apprehensive as it's such a long time since I have done anything like this but Jo was brilliant at supporting me to get started and then encouraging me to go for it! The flow of drinks and nibbles were much appreciated too. I can't recommend Escape2art highly enough if you are looking for a bit of 'me time'. I will definitely be back!
My daughter and her friends had a wonderful birthday party last weekend, hosted and run by Jo at Escape2Art. Jo did a brilliant job organising two creative projects, tailoring them to their age and ability, and it was the most relaxed and enjoyable kids' party I have ever organised (and I've done 10 over the years!) Jo brought all the materials, set up the art table, tidied everything away, and kept the girls entertained and interested for 90 minutes. The girls took home a beautiful keepsake box and a decorated canvas, which I know my daughter will have on her bedroom wall for many years. Such a refreshing birthday party idea - highly recommend.
Lovely relaxed and friendly daytime art session. It doesn't matter whether you have done any art before or not. Good quality art materials and freedom to explore, with guidance when needed. Highly recommended!
I had a really lovely evening with Escape2Art, I hadn't spent time doing something creative for ages and it was so nice to do it with a group of like-minded people in a such a relaxed atmosphere. Jo and Kate were really helpful and showed us the techniques we needed to achieve our beautiful candles and cards. I would highly recommend their classes and I'm definitely going to do one of the painting ones soon. It's a fantastic way to spend an evening and even better that you produce something which you can admire in your home.
Great evening making Christmas wreaths with my team from work, under the fabulous guidance of Jo. We all enjoyed the creativity and have wonderful festive wreaths for our houses. A great girls night in - thank you.
Earlier this month, I asked Jo of Escape2Art to run a party for my son's birthday party. He LOVES his craft, getting all gluey, painting and designing things - although I have to say, he has no real talent as yet!!! Jo laid on a brilliant time for all the party guests and they managed some lovely pieces despite their relatively young age for this kind of thing. Each child was helped to produce two arty items (Jo has a list for you to choose from prior to the party). The timing was perfect for a two hour party - 10 mins to arrive, settle down etc then 40 minutes on each activity, then half an hour for food and a quick run around the garden/hall. Jo and I ran the party in my house and it was so easy and mess free! Jo had EVERY detail covered - bringing her own table covering, messy pot for painty brushes and wet wipes for the inevitable splodges! The paint Jo chose was washable - although I don't think we had any disasters - and Jo assisted all the children in their endeavours! If you have craft loving children who are able to focus on a project for a while, I would HIGHLY recommend Jo. Professional, friendly, super-lovely AND - your guests come away with memorable (even display-worthy!) art!
