We had almost everything on the menu. One by one incredibly tasty dishes, and vegan, and raw, and super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and stylish interior,... 5 stars well deserved!

The raw vegan "scrumbled eggs" was amazing. The healthiest superfood restaurant I ever been to in London!

Raw vegan is very new to me I ate the raw vegan sushi express, raw brownie, and banana pancakes from the lunch menu, The food was delicious,I will be back to try the dinner menu

Really delicious food but please make some sweet things that are suitable for nut allergy sufferers!

I've never imagined vegan food can be such a visually pleasing, complete tastegasam of flavours experience! My tummy is still singing of joy! We started of with hummus and essence salad, shared an essence bowl, lasagna and raw pad thai. Yum yum yum and more yum! A friend highly recommended we try the nut cheese board - wow cashew nut cheese! Also, make sure you leave room for dessert: lime cheese cake that tastes as good as the best ice cold lemonade on a hot sunny day and chocolate brownie with coconut flakes.....mmmmmmouthwatering!

Topping these meals with same vegan wine, a FUNtastic atmosphere and lovely staff to explain each dish the only thing left to say is - Congratulations Essence! Cannot wait to be back.

I am neither a vegan nor am I into raw food but this was outstanding. The Pad Thai, cheesecake and quinoa bowl are stars!

Food was incredible, such amazing flavours, colours and textures, and all vegan!

It was completely full but couldn't fault the service at all, all dishes explained thoroughly and the staff were very attentive and passionate about their food.

we came to this place when it was 1st opened and we were really pleased. came back for a lunch birthday meal recently and were deeply disappointed. the quality has really receded. the lettuce in my salad tasted like soap, or some sort of veggie wash that didn't get the proper rinse, the lettuce in my salad also seemed old( brown around edges), as was the fruit on the desert. the service was also odd. the waiter had on a dirty shirt and we noticed the chef downstairs, with wildly long hair( very beautiful hair) but not preparing food w/ all of his hair in hair net--just sort of wearing it like a cap, but none of the long hair tucked in. the whole atmosphere felt kind of stressful, did not feel welcoming. these things would seem petty for the exception that about 30 minutes after our meal, we both had the same kind of stomach ache, realizing that it was probably the food we'd just shared. took more than a few hours to knock off that feeling, my partner still felt sick the next day. the worst, however, was the price. we spent a lot of money on a meal that really we could have created much fresher ourselves. really hope they sort themselves out as I really enjoyed this place when it first opened, but we definitely will not be back.

We went for a meal to “essence cousine” yesterday. I ordered a salad for a starter and pad thai dish to follow, my boyfriend went for lasagne and a soup for a starter. This morning we both woke up with stomach cramps and sickness and I was unable to go to work. I felt really sick.

It seems like we were given food poisoning from the food we ate at essence cuisine, we really liked the place but we feel that we were both made sick from eating there.

Sadly, I won’t come back again to this restaurant. People should be careful when serving raw food to customers. I’m really upset and disappointed.



My partner wrote an email to the company and we are still waiting for the response. To be honest - I expect a full refund on food that we ordered. We’ve spent over £50 on JUST food, not including a bottle of wine. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my family and friends.

I’m waiting for a response and a refund from the essence cousine company.
