Work-related stress...
Now there's a topic I can speak about from personal experience!
It wasn't too long ago that I was emotionally, physically and mentally at the lowest point I've ever been in my life. I'm not afraid to admit that I was at the brink of having a total break down. And the reason? Work related stress!
... Towards the end of my teaching career I would wake up every single morning with a feeling of pure DREAD flooding my entire body. I'd drag myself to work crumbling and screaming on the inside- while on the outside I painted on a smile and faced the day.
I developed horrendous unexplained pains which spread throughout my body, I was lucky if I slept for a couple of hours each night and I had no physical capacity for my poor children. I was literally broken!
Even now, writing this - the haunting memory is tapping me on the shoulder and my heart is drumming in my chest a little too fast...
During this period of my life I tried all I could think of to help me cope. I meditated, read mindfulness books, used aromatherapy oils, had regular massage, walked in nature, took in the sea air... Anything! Everything! I was desperate!
Thankfully (and by God am I thankful) that stressful time is now behind me. After several months of giving up teaching, the pains gradually disappeared, I dusted myself off and was able to rediscover life with a totally new perspective.
You see I've always done my Holistic work, but more than ever I wanted to help anyone going through similar circumstances, in any way I could. And that's how Essentia Holistic Therapies began...

Tracey is just amazing, for over 16 years now I have suffered with a form of tension headache but for the last 3 years these have become really bad making me suffer from chronic daily headaches that come in attacks of up to 5 or 6 times a day...

I had my first session with Tracey about 4 weeks ago now and I went for the Indian head massage treatment, I followed this up a week later with the same treatment..

Today was my 3rd session and on the advice of Tracey we also did a deep tissue massage and from doing this Tracey discovered lots of trigger points, one point really sending a sharp pain to my head (in exactly the spot I experience the pain most)

This is a very positive sign, as for the first time in over 3 years I may finally have a breakthrough in what’s causing my headaches - Tracey’s advice was amazing and I’m so pleased I went ahead...

Giving the nature of my headaches and the amount of trigger points Tracey came across we now have something to work on, I very much look forward to my next session to improve on this further...

Tracey so far has done what the doctors and my consultants couldn’t, and that is at least found a cause to my pain....

“Now Let’s beat this” �

Received Reiki treatment for what I thought was to aid recovery of leg break however the session ended up providing so much more and benficial across a broader scale. Professional and thoroughly holistic service and will be back once more. Thanks again
