Essentially Pilates Description
Essentially Pilates offers Private Pilates Tuition at my home studio with Pilates equipment, as well as small Group Matwork Classes to clients throughout the local and surrounding areas, including Kings Langley, Abbots Langley, Chipperfield, Watford and Hemel Hempstead.
Sharon trained with, and is a member of, The Pilates Foundation. The Pilates Foundation is a not for profit organisation, that educates, trains, and supports its teachers to the highest standard.
Pilates can help to:
- Improve posture, balance and co-ordination
- Strengthen and tone muscles
- Alleviate back and joint pain
- Rehabilitate Injury

Sharon is extremely knowledgable about the body and in her small group classes she is able to tailor the exercises to each person according to their ability / needs.
Her classes are really enjoyable as Sharon is always talking through the sessions and telling us of interesting things she has learned in the numerous courses she attends.
Sharon makes you think about posture, inner strength and it has really improved my back pain and posture.

Sharon is a great Pilates teacher and has helped me immensely with my back problem over the 2 years I’ve been going. She tailors each exercise to individual needs if you can not do one so that everyone receives the same care and attention to ensure you get the most out of her classes. I’m extremely lucky to have found her and would 100% recommend her to anyone of any level and ability.
I have been going to Sharons pilates classes for 6 or 7 years, following a back injury. Sharon tailors exercises for all of us, which is possible as she keeps class sizes small. Her 'technical' knowledge is amazing and she is always attending courses to learn new exercises to help us all. As a result of Sharons help, my back problems have lessened and become manageable, due to improved core strength and posture. She makes the classes fun and I am always recommending her to those who may benefit. Thank you Sharon, for your help over the years!
I have been attending Friday morning classes in Chipperfield with Sharon for the past 2 years. It is a small friendly group and some of us have different joint, back, neck, shoulder etc problems which Sharon caters for within the class. I feel that I benefit a lot from the class not only in building my core (so important when getting older) but also from lots of interesting things that Sharon talks about while we are doing the exercises. When you leave the class it does make you think more about posture and how important it is to try and keep using as much of your muscle groups as possible. If there is an exercise that you can't manage Sharon will show you another one that you can cope with. I recommend these classes.
I can't recommend Sharon highly enough. I have complex back issues which have been greatly improved over the five plus years that I have been having Pilates lessons with her.
She accommodates everyone's needs in the class and makes it welcoming and inclusive. Plus we have a giggle. Thanks Sharon.
