Ethan Elephant & Friends

About Ethan Elephant & Friends

Ethan Elephant & Friends is a selection of short rhyming stories written by Gemma Lees and illustrated by Amy Drewitt, aimed at 0-4 year olds.

Ethan Elephant & Friends Description

Ethan Elephant and Friends is a series of childrens picture books aimed at 0-4 year olds. With the books easy language, bold print and bouncy rhyming words, they are also perfect for those children just beginning to read.
Each book has been praised for its bright, colourful pictures that keep the reader captivated throughout. Plus, the fact that they are nice short stories, make them great for bedtime reading!
Children will love interacting with the stories as each has their own unique content. Leno Lion’s ‘roaring’ page lets children ROAR as loud as they can, a definite favourite with school and nursery children! Betsy Bear’s song about food lets the child think about all their favourite foods compared with hers! Is their favourite mentioned? Hayden Hippo is the most interactive book, allowing the reader to ‘whooosh’, ‘splash’, ‘pop’ and ‘jump’ in muddy puddles along with the characters.
Amy and Gemma have had great fun creating these amazing characters and love how our readers come back for more with each new book published! We hope you enjoy them just as much as our many followers.

WORLD BOOK WEEK 2019
I am literally overwhelmed! I went back into all the schools to judge my competition entries and sign books this week, and the feedback I received from them was out of this world!!
... Some things that will stay with me forever... I inspired two children to write their own books at Brinscall School St Peters have used my characters as inspiration for their creative writing work all week Children remembering my full name and the sheer joy/excitement when they saw me again (never felt so important haha!) Children asking me amazing questions – esp in Brinscall where the children wrote their questions down first Getting bundled by Reception in the school hall at lunchtime (literally)!!! Playing rock, paper scissors, with the children inbetween workshops and them loving it! Hearing the teachers compliment me continuously about how well I did at their schools Judging hundreds and hundreds of competition entries and seeing the amount of effort the children put into them
Finally, my face hurting from smiling, throat hurting from roaring and 1000’s and 1000’s of steps clocked up running through Jolly Jungle with all the kiddies in my game at the beginning of each session.
Thank you to all the schools/children/parents/friends/family who supported me.

My last day for World Book Week brought me to St Annes and Greenlands. Another two fantastic schools that i was lucky enough to visit. Welcoming staff and loud, interactive children!!! My throat is killing me haha!! It was fab to see a couple of friendly faces too 😁 What a week. So sad it's over. Now back to the boring day (well night!) job!!! Amazing week. Thank you to all involved and all that helped xxx

Another day, another 2 amazing schools!!! This morning was Brinscall St Johns and this afternoon, a return to St Josephs.
I am so lucky to do what I do! The children are so fun and the staff are so supportive and welcoming. Both schools today were fantastic! And what's better, my character building workshop was a success!! woohoo!! It's a lot more prep from my end but it was worth it.
My favourite part of the day was getting mobbed at lunchtime by the reception childr...en at Brinscall haha!! They wouldn't let me go!!! Excellent.
Looking forward to my next two schools tomorrow!!

What an excellent first day!! I was a special guest in assembly first thing this morning at the amazing Ashbridge Independent School, then had two storytelling sessions with reception and year one and an adjective workshop with year two. This school was so welcoming and had such a homely feel - it was perfect. the children were as good as gold as well! I felt so lucky to be invited to this school. Thank you x
Then i was lucky enough to head back to Euxton CofE, a school I... visited last year, for more storytelling, adjective workshop with year one and my brand new workshop - character building for year two. Again, a lovely lovely school. I was overwhelmed by how the children recognised me from last year and said how much they loved my books when they bought them! Fantastic.
I'm absolutely shattered and its only day 1!! Teachers...I salute you haha! Night all x
