Went tonight for my partners birthday could not fault it . Great quality food staff were attentive throughout our meal. Great entertainment for kids my girls never stopped laughing throughout with the tricks that they do. Our top chef was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Myself and Hubby visited for the first time tonight.... “Luke” cooked for us tonight. Lovely lad who was very chatty to our table.. loved that he cooked my veggie stuff before wacking the meat on... food was so tasty!! cooked perfectly!! Definitely the best stir fry i have ever had!!!! His attitude and friendliness made the whole meal fun too!! will be returning for sure!!!

My only complaint is that they need a cocktails menu! It’s difficult to order cocktails without inspiration - but I like to try new things.

Otherwise staff were fantastic - very attentive and on top of allergies - first question asked by waitress and chef were regarding allergies. I have a severe nut allergy and regularly experience ‘the twitch’ when I mention my allergy, where they start reiterating they cant guarantee anything. However, here it wasn’t s problem.

Food was absolutely amazing. Can’t explain how exceptional it is. Steak falls apart. Prawns don’t taste fishy. Only prawns I’ve ever been able to eat without retching - I would voluntarily eat them.

Staff were on the ball - regularly checked on, Food recommended and I can’t fault the recommendations at all. I wouldn’t have tried them otherwise. A waiter was learning he cocktails and asked for feedback. But nothing wrong with that. Having said that his cocktail was amazing!

Will 100% a return. It’s a shame they have had to turn away from their 100% authentic origins. But still exceptional. Perfect for w special occasion. Will be taking the Kids. Just need a cocktail / drinks menu!

I went with my son for his birthday. My son got his meal free and I ate from the early diner menu. I also ordered from the sushi menu. The food was lovely and plentiful. The staff were friendly and I thought it was value for money. Would highly recommend it.

The whole experience is really good fun and the kids found it very entertaining. Would definitely visit again and recommend for a family night out. Thanks for a great evening x

She picked up on his name and interacted with him straight away. Didn't flinch at the mess he made or anything. She made our experience there even more relaxing and pleasurable. Thank you so much!!! Staff could not be more helpful especially attentive for those with any allergies or special cooking requests which for a table of 11 is quite something. Food was cooked very well and the chefs were really friendly and made the "show". Would definitely return. Cost wise was very reasonable for the qualify of food you got. Well done everyone �

It’s also very good value when you consider that you get salad, soup, vegetables and fried rice with every main course. Incidentally we left a higher tip than we asked to be removed - it’s a matter of principle. It’s backwards to leave a negative impression with customers at the end of such a fantastic meal and many people don’t see it because it’s not expected, then find out after they leave and never come back. Please reconsider your tip policy, this is not America, our staff earn a minimum wage and it’s such a shame to see that in such a good restaurant. Please note unlike some of the idiots leaving one star reviews on here, I haven’t felt the need to lower the rating just because everything didn’t go my way. The service and food were top notch so five stars it is. The rest is just feedback. Best of luck Ethan’s.

Any new venture goes through a learning curve. The staff and management were honest, friendly and approachable. The food was excellent.



The only slight caveat to my 5 star rating is that the processes and interactions between staff did not seem to flow smoothly for me. After 2 years, these sort of observations should be a thing of the past.



I was going to give 4 stars but the manager came across and spoke to our table for 5 minutes to share his thoughts and vision.



This was a pleasant and refreshing surprise for me and reassured me that my positive gut feelings (pun intended) about the place were well founded.



My wife and I look forward to our next visit and to the continued progress I'm confident you will make.

This was an experience! The food was so great and our chef May was entertaining, we were all amazing by her skills! The sevice from the waitresses was fast and everything was served with a smile, i would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine and the environment of having the chef cook the food right in from of you! Thank you to everyone at Ethans it was a delight!

Our table was booked for 8pm, we eventually sat down at 8:30, although the waiter took our orders promptly, the chef didn’t start cooking our choices until 9, I have to say the food is nice but it is all rather a slow process, the chef also missed of a choice from the fine combo, and gave it to another group at the table, we finally left at 22:20 although it was a fairly enjoyable meal it has to be said it is really expensive for drinks and food

Not happy that I had to leave the table in Ethans to get a drink at Damon's busy bar, leaving my daughter on her own, as Ethan's don't do the same drinks and have a VERY limited non alcoholic cocktail selection. The manager didn't care and when asked, stated they won't go to the bar for me as "it's a different business".

Food was fine but not nice having to watch the cooker top being scraped and cleaned whilst we're still eating.

Food was nice enough when we ordered a takeaway however it took 1hr15mins to turn up (which isn’t that much of a problem) but then was only luke warm. Wasn’t really a lot of point doing of anything about it as by the time we’d got it out and found out we didn’t fancy waiting another 1hr15 for a replacement. Sushi was obviously fine as that wasn’t supposed to be warm!

Firstly I would like to say our waitress was very nice and even she was a bit embarrassed about the restaurant and was welcomed to an empty restaurant with a “as you can see we are super busy so come in now if you want “

1: as a chef I appreciate good food and this was far from it and you could quiet easily get a microwave meal better and a hell of a lot cheaper

2: the head chef came over and introduced himself while clearing tables in a waiters outfit which is not where the head chef should be

3: the chef that came out to the table and was far from being a teppanyaki chef as she dropped 2 eggs on the table where we were eating trying to do tricks and also didn’t cook the food properly atall

4: the cocktails were poor and even the waitress who made them told us that she hasn’t done cocktails before but was just told to do them and follow the menu



In my experience as a chef if you are going to do something you do it properly and they have tried to add this extension onto Damon’s and failed miserably especially when the bill turns up and is the same price as what I have paid at London restaurants which are in a different class.

In my experience as a chef if you are going to do something you do it properly and they have tried to add this extension onto Damon’s and failed miserably especially when the bill turns up and is the same price as what I have paid at London restaurants which are in a different class.

food was brilliant lots to choose from all sounded great which did make it difficult to choose chef May was lovely, very happy with our meals my friends meat was cook perfectly really enjoyed our evening will be deffo coming back highly recommended to friends and family 5*****

You must eat here. Fantastically entertaining to have the whole meal cooked at your table. With flair and panache. Can't wait to go again. It's a little gem.

Went tonight for my partners birthday could not fault it . Great quality food staff were attentive throughout our meal. Great entertainment for kids my girls never stopped laughing throughout with the tricks that they do. Our top chef was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Food was delicious .Defentily a return visit from us

Really enjoyed it here, our first teppanyaki experience for my birthday last night and the lady chef was fantastic. Neat tricks and lovely food and very friendly we all had a fab fun time. The food was spot on. Steaks nicely cooked to suit all of our tastes.

Myself and Hubby visited for the first time tonight.... “Luke” cooked for us tonight. Lovely lad who was very chatty to our table.. loved that he cooked my veggie stuff before wacking the meat on... food was so tasty!! cooked perfectly!! Definitely the best stir fry i have ever had!!!! His attitude and friendliness made the whole meal fun too!! will be returning for sure!!!

My only complaint is that they need a cocktails menu! It’s difficult to order cocktails without inspiration - but I like to try new things.

Otherwise staff were fantastic - very attentive and on top of allergies - first question asked by waitress and chef were regarding allergies. I have a severe nut allergy and regularly experience ‘the twitch’ when I mention my allergy, where they start reiterating they cant guarantee anything. However, here it wasn’t s problem.

Food was absolutely amazing. Can’t explain how exceptional it is. Steak falls apart. Prawns don’t taste fishy. Only prawns I’ve ever been able to eat without retching - I would voluntarily eat them.

Staff were on the ball - regularly checked on, Food recommended and I can’t fault the recommendations at all. I wouldn’t have tried them otherwise. A waiter was learning he cocktails and asked for feedback. But nothing wrong with that. Having said that his cocktail was amazing!

Will 100% a return. It’s a shame they have had to turn away from their 100% authentic origins. But still exceptional. Perfect for w special occasion. Will be taking the Kids. Just need a cocktail / drinks menu!

I went with my son for his birthday. My son got his meal free and I ate from the early diner menu. I also ordered from the sushi menu. The food was lovely and plentiful. The staff were friendly and I thought it was value for money. Would highly recommend it.

Had a great meal prepared by Luke for our table of four tonight. Food was fantastic and he was funny as f*ck! Definitely need to try one of his steaks next time as the one he prepared for one of us looked fantastic... my sea bass was awesome though. Cheers!

Had a fantastic time in a group booking of 13. Struggled with the menu as so much choice, but the waitress was happy to help us and was very patient. The whole experience is really good fun and the kids found it very entertaining. Would definitely visit again and recommend for a family night out. Thanks for a great evening x

Had a fantastic meal on Monday. Our chef may was wonderful, however, extra special thanks goes to Jacqui the manager for her fantastic hospitality particularly with my special needs son. She picked up on his name and interacted with him straight away. Didn't flinch at the mess he made or anything. She made our experience there even more relaxing and pleasurable. Thank you so much!!! We will be back!

Great experience for a special Birthday lunch today. Staff could not be more helpful especially attentive for those with any allergies or special cooking requests which for a table of 11 is quite something. Food was cooked very well and the chefs were really friendly and made the "show". Would definitely return. Cost wise was very reasonable for the qualify of food you got. Well done everyone �

Food was delicious ! All Cooked Infront of you at the table! Chef was very entertaining !! Best meal I've had in Lincoln. Can't wait to go back! A little expensive per person but when you go you'll understand why and not complain :) shame its not in city center we need more places like this in Lincoln!

Brilliant, and it has been every time. The food is exceptional and the new menu is even better. It’s also very good value when you consider that you get salad, soup, vegetables and fried rice with every main course. Service can be a bit slow and definitely don’t agree with the horrendous concept of adding a tip automatically, but it is optional and you can just ask for it to be removed. Incidentally we left a higher tip than we asked to be removed - it’s a matter of principle. It’s backwards to leave a negative impression with customers at the end of such a fantastic meal and many people don’t see it because it’s not expected, then find out after they leave and never come back. Please reconsider your tip policy, this is not America, our staff earn a minimum wage and it’s such a shame to see that in such a good restaurant. Please note unlike some of the idiots leaving one star reviews on here, I haven’t felt the need to lower the rating just because everything didn’t go my way. The service and food were top notch so five stars it is. The rest is just feedback. Best of luck Ethan’s.

Any new venture goes through a learning curve. The staff and management were honest, friendly and approachable. The food was excellent.



The only slight caveat to my 5 star rating is that the processes and interactions between staff did not seem to flow smoothly for me. After 2 years, these sort of observations should be a thing of the past.



I was going to give 4 stars but the manager came across and spoke to our table for 5 minutes to share his thoughts and vision.



This was a pleasant and refreshing surprise for me and reassured me that my positive gut feelings (pun intended) about the place were well founded.



My wife and I look forward to our next visit and to the continued progress I'm confident you will make.

This was an experience! The food was so great and our chef May was entertaining, we were all amazing by her skills! The sevice from the waitresses was fast and everything was served with a smile, i would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine and the environment of having the chef cook the food right in from of you! Thank you to everyone at Ethans it was a delight!

Our table was booked for 8pm, we eventually sat down at 8:30, although the waiter took our orders promptly, the chef didn’t start cooking our choices until 9, I have to say the food is nice but it is all rather a slow process, the chef also missed of a choice from the fine combo, and gave it to another group at the table, we finally left at 22:20 although it was a fairly enjoyable meal it has to be said it is really expensive for drinks and food

Not happy that I had to leave the table in Ethans to get a drink at Damon's busy bar, leaving my daughter on her own, as Ethan's don't do the same drinks and have a VERY limited non alcoholic cocktail selection. The manager didn't care and when asked, stated they won't go to the bar for me as "it's a different business".

Food was fine but not nice having to watch the cooker top being scraped and cleaned whilst we're still eating.

Food was nice enough when we ordered a takeaway however it took 1hr15mins to turn up (which isn’t that much of a problem) but then was only luke warm. Wasn’t really a lot of point doing of anything about it as by the time we’d got it out and found out we didn’t fancy waiting another 1hr15 for a replacement. Sushi was obviously fine as that wasn’t supposed to be warm!

Firstly I would like to say our waitress was very nice and even she was a bit embarrassed about the restaurant and was welcomed to an empty restaurant with a “as you can see we are super busy so come in now if you want “

1: as a chef I appreciate good food and this was far from it and you could quiet easily get a microwave meal better and a hell of a lot cheaper

2: the head chef came over and introduced himself while clearing tables in a waiters outfit which is not where the head chef should be

3: the chef that came out to the table and was far from being a teppanyaki chef as she dropped 2 eggs on the table where we were eating trying to do tricks and also didn’t cook the food properly atall
