Ethical Law Description

Our Mission Statement:

Established in 2012, our aim is to provide Legal Services, affordable to all.

The Legal System is designed by lawyers for lawyers and can be daunting for those that do not have legal training. We believe that every individual should be able to access Legal Services, as and when they require them.

We specialize in Employment Law, Tribunal claims (inc. Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority claims), provide general legal advice and Notary Services.

We provide a holistic, client based service that is aimed, as much as is possible, to suit your financial circumstances. We provide a home and business appointments out of hours as required. (In office meetings by appointment only).

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2018 looks to be an interesting year, with some planned changes in law (and potentially some unplanned and reactionary changes). As matters update, I'll give you the heads up, whether employee or employer. Good luck in your ventures and here's hoping that you have a year that goes from strength to strength.

If you paid fees at an Employment Tribunal or Employment Appeals Tribunal between 29 July 2013 and 26 July 2017 you can now reclaim what you paid.
The process for obtaining a refund, either by online checklist, email, or by post, couldn't be easier. Simply visit:

The Supreme Court has this week unanimously ruled that the introduction of Employment Tribunal fees four years ago by the Government was both 'unlawful' and 'unconstitutional'.
From this point on, anyone who has been treated unfairly or illegally at work will no longer have to pay Tribunal fees in order to access justice.
The government will also have to refund the thousands of Claimant's charged for taking claims to Tribunals, since July 2013.
... This in our opinion is a landmark ruling, reaffirming the position of the Judiciary in ensuring ALL employees have access to justice.

The Financial Conduct Authority has now set the final date for PPI Claims to be made.
The deadline for claiming back mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) is 29th August 2019. Anyone intending to pursue a claim enforceable through the FCA must lodge their complaint with the FCA before this date.
The FCA have published a relatively weighty document setting matters out in detail, including the governance of PPI claims companies’ conduct as of 31st March 2017.
... In our opinion pursuing mis-sold PPI is a simplistic matter and doesn’t require legal assistance, although you may choose to use a specialist firm for their expertise and efficiency.
What many people are unaware of is just how far back they can go with their claim. The answer is there is no strict deadline (although older claims will prove harder to evidence, if you do not have your own documentary evidence).
The further back your claim goes, the greater the sum you will be paid in compensation if you are successful, as Simple Interest on claims is 8% (the interest can be considerably higher if Compound Interest was added to the premium).
Our advice is if you are in doubt, don’t be and pursue the provider direct (they have specialist departments for such matters, easily found on the internet). Most providers have a standardised system that simplifies communication.
The FCA link for more detail is: https://www.fca.org.uk/…/fca-finalise-p lans-place-deadline-…
Good luck!
