Eu Migrant Worker

About Eu Migrant Worker

An ESRC funded research project run from the University of Cambridge to explore the experiences of EU migrants who are working in the UK.

Eu Migrant Worker Description

Throughout 2016 Professor Catherine Barnard and Dr Amy Ludlow from the University of Cambridge will be exploring the experiences of EU migrant workers in the UK. They would like to hear from anyone with relevant insights, experiences and interests.

Hello!

Thank you for visiting our research project Facebook page.

In the coming year our aim is to learn about EU migrants' hopes, fears and experiences of coming to the UK, and what it is like to look for work and be employed in the UK when you come from another EU Member State. Through this research we hope to inform public debate in anticipation of the UK's referendum about EU membership. This project has been funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, as part of a programme of work about 'The UK in a Changing Europe'.

We will post information on this page about our events, activities and work in progress and how you might become involved in the research. We will be blogging and tweeting regularly and, in this way, hope to make our work as interactive and engaging as possible. We will also be producing a short documentary.

We warmly encourage anyone who is interested in our work to contact us. We are especially keen to make contact with migrant workers directly. We look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes

Catherine and Amy
