Europcar Ipswich

Used this service twice now. The guys were really helpful and we had no issues with the cars.

Booked online, got to check in online as well, which meant collection was straight forward and incredibly easy.
The model of car I'd booked wasn't available, so as per their T&C's I got a similar alternative. I didn't find this an issue at all, personally.
Out of hours drop-off meant that I could drop it off when I needed to around 8-9pm Saturday, I wasn't forced to pay for whole other day and come back during office hours.
All in all, customer focused thinking, great service provided

I met a friend at the branch at 8.30am who I was helping to move house. She had a van booked online days previously, but when we went to collect it the staff member told us that the booking had been cancelled because they didn't have any vans for us to use. He said that he left a message on her phone, but when she checked her voice mail there was no message at all. He was very unapologetic and didn't even help us find another van from other sources...basic customer service out of the window! It took over an hour to locate a suitable vehicle which cost nearly twice as much and the whole thing added extra stress to what is an already stressful task of moving house. VERY BAD ATTITUDE AND COULDN'T GIVE A TOSS APPROACH.

Did a one way hire heathrow to Ipswich. Had to wait 40mins at heathrow before being seen. Then they asked for my national insurance number! Who knows that? And no warning when I booked online! Shall not be using them again.

Last time I used it the service was great. This time the place isnt even open for me to collect the vehicle I've already paid for despite paying an out of hours charge. No one's one the phone lines either.

Branch was great and guy in shop was very helpful.
Problem was the company and hidden charges.
I got a flat tyre which cost £154 !
The company then just randomly takes money from my account! I am owed over £700!!
Furious!!!

Disgusting customer service. Rented a van for two days, made sure it was back well in time for collection on a Friday. Still wasn't collected by the Saturday, assured by europecar it would be collected that day, no one turned up! Phoned again on Monday assured would be picked up and yet again none turned up so lost a days work waiting in, phoned again on the Tuesday, assured again it would be picked up between 10am and 2pm so cancelled work to wait in again, surprise surprise no one turned up. Phone again and complained about terrible service. They sent someone out within an hour to collect the van. Europecar then charge us a £45 fee for the van being returned late!!!!! This is not acceptable as it was in incompetence of the europecar staff that caused the delay in the van being collected as it had been sat outside our house an hour before it was meant to be picked up on the Friday!!!!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Polite staff delivered car .. was however dirty ... so harder to log marks ... but did so with a video with the faults and delivery people not the video too ... id recommend to all to do this ...

I have rented from this branch twice and on both occasions there have been mistakes and issues. It's a shame that the excellent service I have received from Europcar's head office and other branches nationwide aren't upheld by this particular branch.

They charge you months after renting the car and don't send you why they are charging you. Never going to rent again from this place
