Europcar do offer very competitive prices for van rental, but you have to beware the extra insurances they will try to sell you.
Plan in some extra time to get to his particular branch. Sat Nav will get you there, but due to the one-way road layout it is a challenge to actually reach the site. Driving a van from and to this place is also challenging as the roads are very narrow and full of parked cars.
Staff is very friendly and try to serve you as quick as possible. Unfortunately, even with online pre booking and having all your paperwork ready, it still takes some time to drive away with your rental.
Although they did wash the van, it still was quite dirty on pickup and the front tire was just about legal.
Good point was the availability of parking spaces for my own car for the time I had rented the van and the very friendly staff. Without that, I would have rated only a one star.

Irritating to get to amidst the one-way systems without any signage. We hired a van which was ready on time, but was dirty even after being cleaned and had very thin tread on the tires. The saving grace of this place was the friendly staff who allowed us to park our cars on-site.

Came to pick my car up and they were closed! Had paid for the Sunday to Friday upfront and arrived Sunday morning at 10 as instructed with the place shut up. Lost out on my taxi money and was a day late for my holiday. Furious.

My partner hired a van Then found the Plastics all hanging off underside of the van then to my disbelief I Found a top off a drug needle where someone had been injecting in the cab , absolutely disgusted...obviously not cleaned and rent to anybody. Was then only offered a smaller van which wasn't suitable for what I needed and told of that wasn't good enough go somewhere else. Still had to pay the larger van price!!!!! Complained twice and didn't even get a reply then they just took an extra £17 out of my account 2 days later which have now been reported as fraud .AVOID this company at all costs , go do yourself a favour and go to enterprise !!!

Exceptional service when it counted. I had a broken driver's side mirror glass late one afternoon. I called the service number at 4:45pm and spoke to a Daniella. I had picked the car up at Heathrow and was near Luton. I was not comfortable driving on the motorway without the mirror to exchange the car at Heathrow. Daniella called to say that she was going off duty but Shane was on the case. Shane called to say he had located a similar car at their Luton airport office where "Mo" was expecting me. At Luton airport Mo had the paperwork and cars were exchanged with no problems at all. Within two hours of the incident I was on my way. Great service, as Douglas MacArthur said "I shall return"

I hate using this depot but my company books the cars and it doesn't matter how far in advance you book a car here you will still end up waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for someone to book it out, it's utter crap and just makes my long days even longer. Customer service here really is nonexistent.

The worst experiance i have ever recieved seem like a bunch of morons who cant communicate with eachother and get the job done waited in all morning for them too come and collect the hire car too be told some won had already attempted when i had waited in all day and tried too ring them 10 times with no reply. The worst park is there saying they need the car back urgently

Booked in the morning went to collect then told there would be 1000 pounds to pay if any accident even if another drivers fault or pay 16 pounds a day more to reduce it to 250. Not good

I wish there was a no star category as giving this branch even one star seems too generous.
Don't even bother with this company they may be competitive in price but they make up the money by getting it out of you in any way they can.
Whether it be through forcing you to buy their insurance or by claiming you've damaged the vehicle. After refusing to note down any previous damage.
They couldn't even be bothered to give me a car with a full tank of deseil, to which I was told the vehicle has a faulty gage and it was full. I managed to fill the tank, no problems with the gage then!
If you want hassle free don't even bother with them go somewhere else.
Start to finish it was unfriendly service, trying to get their own way, even if it meant lying and nothing but agro!
