Europcar Wellingborough

Have never dealt with a bigger cowboy operation then the Wellingborough branch of this company !

So I order a 1.6 Asta to be delivered on a Sunday, I was to drive the car to wales and leave it and another on if their branches and instead the Wboro branch deliver a 1.4 Meriva on the Saturday (I was away but my household knew I was having a car delivered so accepted the Meriva) the Meriva was covered in dents and scratches though only a small number of these were recorded in the paperwork delivered with the car!

When I get home on the Sunday and discover the joke they call a substitute I call Europcar to complain only to be told the customer service/complaint team don’t work on sundays, it’s only the accident helpline available and that I would have to call back on Monday to have my complaint heard so with no other choice but to use the car I had to set off to Wales.

So you would think that would be the end of my troubles with Wboro but no a week later I of course have to return to my home, as booked (well over 14days ago by now) I expect the hire car to be picked up from home address on Saturday at 14:00 and so I sit in and wait, when the collection time comes and passes I call the Wboro office only to receive a recorded message telling me they are closed ?!
I then call Europcar customer services to kick off only to find they are also closed ?!?!

So I now have their car outside my house, I can of course drop it off at their branch but that’s a couple of miles away and why the hell should I put myself out and end up walking miles to get back home after dropping off their car when I’ve paid to have it collected!

They won’t be collecting tomorrow as is Sunday and they won’t be able to collect it Monday as I’m at work all day and yet I just know they will have the audacity to try and charge me for any days the car sits outside my house unused.

Do yourself a favour and keep well clear of these idiots !

car booked weeks ago only to be met with can't find it, couldn't car less. Had to go elsewhere.

Genuine service at best rates

Fantastic and very polite, efficient service from the guys at Wellinborough. At very short notice we had a fab car and at half the price of Enterprise rentals, was an absolute bargain! Well done guys, we will definitely be back!

Poor customer service from a rude bloke sat behind a computer. Booking was changed without my knowledge to the following day I then got told that I may not even get a car despite it being already booked. Told if I wanted to cancel the booking I'd have to ring up as the bloke in the pickup centre couldn't, more like couldn't be bothered, to do it. Ring the number, guy on the phone tells me he can't do it either and to speak to the centre or select different option. Ring alternative option it just rings and rings and rings. Cheapest option I found online and now I see why. I highly recommend everyone avoids using this cowboy of a company.
