Evangelina School Of Dance Description
I am a Fellow of the International Dance Teachers' Association (IDTA) and established my own dance school in 2006. I currently teach Ballet, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft and Tap to pupils from 3 years of age. I also have a giggling group of adult tappers! Pupils work towards a series of graded examinations and medal tests, and we generally put on a school show every 3 years.
All classes are held at Helperby Village Hall.

Thank you to our Prince and Sugar Plum Fairy who made an appearance at the Boroughbridge Christmas late night event. These lovely props will be appearing in our show. Not long to wait!
Congratulations to my 2018 Tapathon team. After weeks of trying to master this year's really hard routine, we participated in the attempt to break the world record for simultaneous tap dancing. We also raised £100 for Children in Need. Fingers crossed that we get the record this year!

Happy Easter everyone! Thanks to everyone for making the recent exam session run so smoothly. No results yet, but I will let you know as soon as I hear anything.
Yesterday was World Tutu Day! (Who knew that was a thing?!) As luck would have it, someone sent me photos of my first public performance. I think the tutu was borrowed, but the rabbit costume I definitely remember. It was very itchy! Thank goodness we now have lycra!!!
Spent a fantastic morning at Planet Dance, Batley, fitting 4 students for pointe shoes. Wonderful service as usual. My idea of Heaven!
Congratulations to my Tapathon Team. We raised £90 for Children in Need by performing our Tapathon routine on Sunday. Just waiting to hear whether we helped to break the World Record for simultaneous tap dancing by performing at the same time as another 7500 tappers! Fingers crossed! (Adult tap class at Helperby Village Hall, Thursdays, 8;00-9:00pm. Everyone welcome!)

Huge congratulations to all my wonderful dancers who recently passed their exams! I was thrilled that all students scored between 82% and 92%. (Pass mark is 65%) Looking forward to teaching you all again in September, (week commencing 4th.) Certificates will be presented at your first lesson, so let's make a big effort to look good for the photographs!!
Keeeeeeeep stretching! (Remember to warm up well first!) We'll have those splits in no time!

Congratulations to my two senior students who recently passed their Classical Award with outstanding results. Both girls have studied with me for 10 years. Wonderful role models for my enthusiastic Tots!
Congratulations to my little Tots who all passed their Pre Juvenile Group Award with flying colours! They looked perfectly polished and gorgeously groomed. (Might need to work on our number sequencing skills though!!)
