Avoid during weekdays.!!!!
This is a great store and being part of the warehouse has a fantastic stock selection.
However the large customer car park seems to be always full even when there is almost no one in the store.
I suspect this is because the back office staff from their HQ, which is on the same site, are dominating the spaces.
Senior management need to stop this behaviour?

Not overly happy with the warehouse staff for the delivery of my new bike came in a box as promised. Wasn't told when it was being delivered.
Once I got it out the box there was dirty hand marks all over it.
According to website they set the bike up so u don't have too. Well I don't think that is the case.
Took my new bike to shop today with my list of faults and issues and damage.
Little bit of a wait to speak to the manager.
But I have to say Chris the manager was excellent.his professional manner and attitude was a 110%.
The shop mechanics did a great job sorting out the bike plus it came back with no dirty hand marks. I will definitely be going back.

No complaints here. Although I should note that I visited at 2pm on a Wednesday when it was quiet. David was very helpful with sorting out my new bike and helped me get my bike in the car too. I would use Evans again. Thanks!

Excellent - The guys at Gatwick helped me chose a bike that I was happy with. Their mechanic set the bike up for me and removed the inner tubes, bolted numerous extras onto the machine and made sure the bike was ready to go. The sales guy was very helpful, made sure I was happy with the bike and suggested ideas for improving my rides. Chris, the manager helped out after their sales guy went for a break, I even managed to blag a some discount from him! I understand that this was a decent sized sale, but I had their undivied attention for the whole afternoon. I really can't speak highly enough, so I'm puzzled by some of the other comments listed here... I guess the old saying "you can't please them all" is apt.

Incredible this day and age to approach a 'Sales Counter' with and 4 or so staff, although all appearing to be doing something, did not lift their heads , and offer any kind 'Can I help You? type greeting. This was even when looking at them straight in the eye. Finally when I asked 'Is anyone available ?, what appeared the youngest member of the team stepped forward, and offered some help - (and he was pleasant and knowledgeable) - hence 2 stars.-otherwise would have been 0!
Note to Evan's big wig's- sort your basic customer service training out !

World's worst service. This is the third time they have let me down. Unfortunately there are no real alternatives to Evans. Despite being "In Stock" and collect in 24 hours, all I got was "we don't have this bike, you will have to wait a couple of weeks before it's back in stock". The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. They clearly do not read the reviews, I just hope if enough people voice their experience someone somewhere will listen and aim to improve the service or start a rival company.

Bought a bike from here a couple of years ago (£2500) Tried for a discount but no chance; spent 10 mins haggling and all I got was a drink bottle free!! Service can be really slow.

Fantastic service especially by Andy and the rest of the team, never felt like I wasn't important. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful and went above and beyond what other LBS deliver. I walked out with more than I planned on getting, which considering how difficult a customer I am is an achievement!

I went to Evans Gatwick today, a prime customer with strong buying intent. I hung around for 20 minutes whilst no member of staff spoke to me. The staff members that were there were all extremely busy doing something else. Nobody even acknowledged me as a new customer. So I left.
I went to Finch in Reigate instead. Was seen immediately by a very helpful member of staff. He enquired about my needs and spent ages with me demonstrating and explaining the different options to me.
Guess where I'll be buying my bike :-)
