Evans Cycles - Castleford

Went looking for MTB clothing and MTB protection but they have very limited stock. Mainly suited to
Road bikes.

My brother bought a Team BMC carbon road bike for £1400 with Shimano Tiaga group set recently, while their online shop had it for £1000 with Shimano 105?
Always check Evans bikes for downgrading to cheaper equipment, while keeping the original RRP.
They offered discount, and upgrade to 105, but Taiga set looked better so kept it.
Mind you, my brother's time, and fuel was wasted in the meantime.

on a couple of occasions i have had mechanical issues and through speaking to adam in the work shop i have been able to sort these out myself .
I cannot praise him enough for his good advice and professionalism
the shop staff all seem helpful and friendly too

I have purchased a couple of bikes in the past 4 years from this store and when I've had any issues, they provide excellent customer service.

Useless morons. Lost the bike I paid a deposit for & couldn't get another as it was the last one in stock. They strung me along for a few days, next delivery, just wait for it to be built & you get e-mail conformation, etc. Turns out I'd be waiting a while if I did that as after yet another phone call speaking to another less moronic person, he told me its lost and they don't know what happened. Don't take your bike here for a service even if it's free. All my colleagues use Evans through ride to work scheme and all have said often the bike performs worse than when it went in & dealing with the incompetent staff is always a headache. If u must use Evans find another store.

Very poor customer service. Even worse Bike servicing!! Ive had to pay twice for my bike servicing thanks to the incompetance of the Evans staff!!!

Took my Norco adventure bike back today which had developed a problem with the bottom bracket. A replacement was fitted within a couple of hours while we had a look around the outlet next door.
Top service, cheers.

Good range of bikes on offer. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Staff are reduced in number from 6pm onwards, just as many people nip in on way home from work. It is an endless waiting game to get served at that time of day.
