Stavros is amazing and his knowledge is incredibly helpful when it comes to purchasing decision. I never knew a few things about bicycles until I met Stavros a few weeks ago. Will definitely go back for my touring bike soon. Great store overall.

Stavros is gold! He was very informative and helpful and really knows his stuff! I’m not usually a fan of big chain stores but so long as he works in this store I’ll definitely be a customer.

Totally useless.

No telephone manners.

In store leave customers standing around while staff take an hour with 1 customer talking pushing sales & other staff hide out back.

One member of staff I thought was reliable today left me waiting for over 45 minutes they knew I had been waiting for them to talk about ordering a part for my bike & when my back was turned ran off for lunch😠 & after waiting nearly an hour was told to come back in an hour! 😤

Forget it i was passing through & Evans has already wasted enough of my time today but
while waiting i noticed how some of the staff didn't even know how to do things like there job!😂 even till issues? not good!..they know how to take your money though.

Thanks for nothing Daniel not the same as when you worked in Croydon & its a shame that store closed as WAS best one. I won't be returning. & they wasn't even that busy!?😆

😉I couldn't agree more with the other negative remarks its true Evans staff are shallow😝 & I think the more you spend the more there interested in you😳 but once sale over your in same boat as rest unless your spending more!😨 it's all about their targets 😒 not customer satisfaction or service.

This isn't first time in this shop but is first review 😊 shame Croydon branch was closed down.

Bought two bikes and quite a bit of gear from here, always great service, very knowledgeable staff. If buying a Brompton make sure you speak to the manager as she has one (plus five other bikes) and had lots of practical advice.

I was hesitating between a road bike and an hybrid bike (thinking I would go for the road bike).
I spoke to Stavros as I saw the reviews on google speaking how professional he was.
From the moment I came to the store till the moment I left, I really feel that he really cared about my enquiry.
He explained me the advantage and disadvantage for both, ask me about my experience about riding a bike, and told me his personal opinion regarding the fact that I was going to commute to work as I m fed up with London s transport.
He also spoke about the cycletoworkscheme (which my company doesn't do) and told me to check the reviews and tests about the small selection that we came to.
I left the shop knowing better what I needed and had a good interest in one of the modèle he presented to me from a Swiss company called BMC.
I decided to ask the same questions to an other store on the other side of the road and it seemed that the man that was serving me didn t really enjoy to work there (I know that working in retail on Sunday is not amazing but come on...) and just show me briefly a couple of bike by pointing them without really explaining anything.
Working in retail for 19 years, and attracted by the fact that I like to feel confident and welcome to a place I buy my stuff, I decided to go forward with evans.
I checked some reviews online, and still stayed on my first choice, the BMC ac02 with 30 gears (which is almost enough to ride the Everest but I come from the mountains, always had mountain bikes and enjoy a bit of off road).
From there I saw a promotion on the website for 100 pounds of free clothing and called Stavros in order to have more information about it.
Once again he was brilliant and took my number to give me further details (and called me back).
I ordered the bike, called him one day before to let him know, and he told me that when I will come he will explain me for all the things I potentially need and will answer any questions.
I came today to get my bike and the service once again was amazing. We went through all the stuff I needed, explain me the differences, told me not to go to the higher price for some products as the cheaper one was enough, put everything on, adjusted the bike to my size and gave me a lot of tips about riding in a city like London such as making my space on small road, use the bus lanes as much as I can and all the small tips to confort you on your first ride as a citadin.
Overall, one of the best customer service I ever had in London, Stavros definitely know what he s talking about and is very patient with people that take time to take decision like me.
Came home safe, would definitely recommend evans (Stavros) to anyone!

Jason was fantastic and helped me and my partner through everything, including keeping to a fairly tight budget - no overselling, just honest advice and loads of it too. Very friendly and there seemed to be no trouble in making sure it was definitely the right bike, ordering in options to test (which only took a day!) and even staying late with the team to ensure that we were happy with the bike chosen, how it all worked, set up correctly etc. Thanks guys!

Every time i leave this place with uncomfortable feeling being not appreciated as customer and even being laughed at. When bought some parts without their service, and installed them outside the store, entire store one after another looked through the window to have a go at me as silly customer. That's below any standards im familiar with.

User

Great customer service and a good range of bikes. Didn't try to oversell and suggested something at the lower end of my price range as it fitted all my needs. Would definitely recommend.

They just want to make money. No interest in providing service. I ordered my bike in the shop and when I came to pick it up at the agreed time it wasn't assembled and I had to wait 2 hours for the assembly. Their justification: I didn't specifically order it to be assembled. Of course the guy working there never mentioned this when I selected the bike.
Then they make a great deal about their free service but when you want to book it the next appointment is weeks later and you must drop it off at 8am and pick it up at 8pm because they refuse to store the bike for one night. Apparently not meant for people with a job! Avoid this shop.

Jamahi is one miserable lad, stuck doing a job he obviously doesn't enjoy. No, enthusiasm, bored, can't be bothered attitude. Wish I went to a different store.

User

Excellent service today when I was enquiring about road bikes, great personal service and answered all my questions.

A bit of a mixed bag staff-wise, and the stock is pretty standard. A couple of thee staff are really helpful and know their stuff; one or two not so much. However, they've never made an error on an order and have been helpful with getting my fit right (mostly because they didn't do it properly when I picked up the bike in the first place).
