Evans Cycles - Norwich

Evans used to be my go-to place for repairs.

Last time I walked into the shop asking for a hub service, the mechanic attempted to up-sell and advise for a gold service in addition to several new parts (chain, cassette, jockey wheels).

The mechanic was correct in that I needed these new parts. However, my plan was to use kit I'd recently purchased and do it myself, hence asking for just the wheels to be looked at. This aggressive sales attitude frustrated me, because I felt I couldn't just get what I initially asked for without paying for lots more (Around twice as much if I remember correctly)

The mechanics in Evans have brilliant technical ability and a quick turnaround, but it seems as if there's a commission-based system going on, which doesn't work when you deal with someone who already has an idea as to what they need fixing.

Bike is now being sorted out in Cycles UK, who listened to what I wanted as a customer.

Excellent service by the staff. Went in an off peak time and was given a test ride for as long as I wanted as well as them suggesting the best bike for me, which happened to be cheaper than the one I was originally looking at. Didn't feel pressured to buy anything but did get a good deal anyway making the purchase through CycleScheme all the better.

Me and by partner both bought bikes from here a road bike and a mountain bike and we.must say the guys that work here are great. They really know their stuff, helpful and generally really nice peeps thanks for you help would definitely recommend buying a bike from here 🙃

I'm fortunate enough to receive discount from Evans through my employer. So a couple of weeks ago I drove my daughter the thirty miles to buy her a new bike and take advantage of the discount. We'd checked out their website beforehand and made a couple of choices so we had a rough idea what we were looking for before we arrived. Apon arrival we were greated by one of the assistants who was nothing short of brilliant. He wasn't pushy and I trusted his technical expertise. The bike we'd initially gone to buy wasn't in stock but we did find another the same spec and also cheaper as there is certainly plenty to choose from. I also needed to kit my daughter out with a new helmet and jacket and again after being shown plenty of choices we were able to purchase what we needed. Evans had great stock choices right through their ranges and their staff were first class I'll be back even if I have to drive thirty miles

Great shop. Staff always give excellent advice & service.

Brilliant shop. Great bikes and accessories. They do not sell cheap/poorly made bikes. Expect to spend a good part of a grand here. Staff are very helpful and give plenty of advice.

My Caadx had developed a creak coming from the bottom bracket. Evans replaced the bottom and tuned the gears. My Caadx is now running like new. Really pleased with the service I received and the repair. Many thanks Tom great job. Keep up the good work!
