Ordered online to collect from this store. Email says if you haven't collected in 3 days we'll send you a reminder. 2 days after ordering I get a call from a pushy young lady who wouldn't get off the phone until I comitted to a date for picking up the order. I can't fathom why Evans' senior management don't do something about the brand's well earned reputation for obnoxious customer service.

We went there to fix kid’s bike. Michael was extremely attentive, kind and helpful. Very happy with the service. Highly recommended.

My daughter had a puncture and I took it in at 9AM on a Saturday. The staff were very friendly and fixed it straightaway (while I had a coffee in Carluccios next door). Highly recommend.

Very good costumer service with the amazing manager Peter who did his best to help us all out in a very busy Sunday!!!!

The people here are incredibly helpful! I return frequently due to their professionalism. It would however help if RESPRO did test masks to try for size before buying?! Otherwise I think the staff go over and above the call of duty to assist with every query no matter how small.

Great shop with a lovely large variety of all style bikes. Firstly Peter needs to cover up his revolting hairy stickman legs and maybe sort out his pompous rude attitude. Eva the store manager is fantastic helpful and extremely dedicated to the daily running of the business she will go above and beyond the call of duty to please customers new and old. the only thing ... staff try to upsell items generally not needed for example. . . . I the customer walk in with my bike and a puncture im now charged £5.99 for the innertube and £5 for labour to change it. i then get a phonecall explaining my tyre needs replacing at a cost of £34.99 on a bike only worth maybe £50 and my tyre was only halfway through its life. there excuse was the brake pad had run against the tyre wall and weakened it. Opinions vary you decide, however i am a trained motor vehicle mechanic and can safely say the tyre could be used again. there bikes are a rip off too, and if you squeeze them you WILL get 10 % off any bike to help seal the deal. The truth must be told ... SORRY.

Bought my Fuji feather from this branch last month, had a problem with the rear hub. They were more thab happy to take it in and repaired free of charge - no questions asked! Thanks Evans!

Very helpful. I popped in with a puncture and even though busy, William took time to help me get it fixed even though I didn't have an appointment. Highly recommend.

Honestly what would I do without this shop! Always going the extra mile, so helpful and informative. No job too big or small. I'll always be back!

I bought my bike from here a year ago but didn't write a review then. Their service has consistently been very good so worthy of a review. Peter was absolutely fab! He spent a few days letting me try out different bikes until I found my Specialized one. I came back today for a checkup expecting to pay for the bronze service (minimum cost) but it turns out the bike only needed a few tweaks for which they said they wouldn't charge me! I also bought bike lights, which they fitted and rearranged all the existing gadgets I had on my bike. Andy and Peter were both very helpful so ask for them when you go!

They changed my front brake without asking me or calling me to know if I wanted to do it or not, and made me pay for it.. Wow I have never seen that before and will never come back. Good job

User

Consistently poor quality customer service from often badly informed and unmotivated staff with very little real passion for cycling. The store manager is blunt to the point of being confrontational, and very rude, accusing my of lying last time I visited the store, meaning this will also be the last time I visit this, or any other Evans Cycles again. Avoid, if you want to go to a larger chain then visit CycleSurgery instead.

Despite a good - even helpful - team upstairs this was the second time the engineers downstairs have done an absolutely terrible job, turning a small problem into a bicycle that can't be ridden. When returned to them the engineer came up, shrugged and said it was nothing to do with him. Don't use this place unless you're buying something off the shelf. Totally useless understates their negligent and rude attitude.
