I attended a Fix it class a few weeks ago and it was excellent. Josh was extremely knowledgeable and patient, talking us through what we needed to know and tailoring the class to our needs. He gave us more of his time than the advertised hour and helped with specific problems with mine and the other attendee's bike. I also received a goody bag worth at least the £15 the course cost. I was sceptical about going but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommended.

I love this place! Knowledgeable, helpful, patient and friendly staff, good quality components. Got to know them when I went through a spate of multiple punctures near UCLan. They happened to be the closest shop I could drag my bike to! I'm so glad!! I prefer to be left alone when browsing as well, (I do often get asked, but not intrusively) so this store suits me down to the ground. You can always ask for help!

They now advertise "Fix It" courses on the website. Given my experience at the end, I would highly recommend!

When I did need a new bike I needed something very specific, and I tried going to them first. However for what I needed their usually fantastic knowledge didn't quite stretch that far. I ended up going to Paul Hewitt Cycles for a touring bike built to my measurements. Given how specific my needs were I am still giving 5 stars.

Evans is like a "John Lewis" of bikes. If you need a good "suit" they do very well for almost every occasion, but if you need something a little out the ordinary then you need a "Tailor".

So I ended up completely rebuilding my ailing bike bit by bit and would take it in to get a suitable part. I'd ask (lots of) questions and so a couple of the mechanic staff got to know me quite well! They did always advise that I needed a new bike really, which I did but didn't have the budget for at the time. Plus I did have a lot of fun and learnt a ton from what I did to my "old faithful". Parts were usually cheaper on the net, but the advice and quality assurance is worth it.

Good service on click and collect, also ordered in store, received good advice on purpose and best price to collect within in a couple of days on a set of tyres.

Went in to buy a bike for my other half and zero customer service, not approached, ignored, walked out. Will buy elsewhere.
