Customer service of Evans is very good. The staff is helpful and professional. Sometimes customers are too demanding, I have to admit. My personal experience in that shop was very good. Everyone was ready to help and advise me on my order. At the beginning, I was doubting which bike to buy and I went to Evans shop near Leister square. A guy called Lui helped me with my decision and I soon ordered my Crosstrail bike from this shop in market street.

Dave the manager and Brian the head mechanic were wonderful at sorting out the problem I had with my Trek Lexa on Monday, despite me buying the bike from an independent store that went out of business. They explained what they could and could not do, and told me to leave the bike with them and return in half an hour. I did just that-and the bike is spot-on. Just like the service!

Never picks up the phone. Customer service is pi55 poor. Staff have no knowledge just glassed eyed zombies walking around. These jockeys take money & waste time but put customers LIVES AT RISK. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Disastrous management. I brought in the bike for the free check through the ride to work. I brought it in and left it for a day. Came back next day at 6 to pick it up and the check wasn't completed. Was told that it would take 15 minutes to change tyres and add some mudguards. It's been more than 1.5 hours already and nothing. Besides poor customer experience the problem is the management as they never seem to have enough people to service clients therefore the terrible experience across the board. Deeply disappointed. I probably would have made those changes myself with a YouTube tutorial faster.

I tried to be their customer again after several years but they don;t seem to be capable of answering a telephone, so I won't be trusting them with my pride and joy.

Bought a bike from this store a few weeks ago and was told to come back in 6 weeks for a free service.

Thought this was a great deal but I have been unable to take advantage of the offer as noone in the store will pick up the phone to allow me to book the service.

Evans say you cannot book the first service online you have to do it over the phone. So I am stuck.

I have tried to call at all times of the day it just rings and rings.

Really helpful staff. I'm going touring, and they provided me with protective covering for my frame and fork separators for free. Also really great that they can order stock in so quickly!

Terrible customer service. Surely disinterested staff. I booked an appointment to come in and test ride a bike, but turns out they had forgotten to assemble it and aren't now going to be able to for two weeks. Completely unapologetic. The same thing had happened to the person ahead of me in the cue as well, who was treated just as brusquely. He'd even called ahead to confirm his bike was ready and it still wasn't.

Such a shame as I managed to get the boss the first time I went in who was super helpful. Definitely not my experience the second time round. Avoid if you can.

I bought a bike from Spitalfields Evans in Feb 2016, and I was happy with the service. I recently wanted to order in a replacement part as I had the seat clamp stolen. At first they got back to me quickly but then ignored three emails, and now haven't got back to me for a week. Plus the phone is never answered. In the end I have had to order the part from overseas, from the only supplier I could find, at an additional shipping cost of 20 dollars. I was disappointed with the service, particularly as I haven't been able to commute on my bike for most of the summer. Just a really frustrating experience for a busy person who doesn't have time to be messed around (not that anyone does!)

This is where I generally shop for bike stuff. I have bought my kryptonite 2nd series lock in their sale and have purchased a new tyre there. With regards to my tyre the people were very helpful. They didn't want to fit it for me (there was a waiting list) but after some discussion the nice man agreed to do it quickly while I waited. Which t o me is fab customer service. I don't know much about competitive pricing but I do know that one particular brand of lights (the moon meteor) is 99p cheaper elsewhere. However when spending 30 something pounds on a bike light I don't think it matters too much.

I can only comment on my experience of staff but they were unarguably unhelpful in the basement section gabbing away to their mates instead of dealing with waiting customers, even when confronted. The poor lady upstairs was pretty much left alone and was as helpful as she could be. Save yourself the aggravation and go to Cycle surgery instead, they offer a much more positive customer focused experience

The worst bike store I've ever been to. Terrible customer service. Never answer the phone so I can book in my "free first service". Poor selection of bikes. Really terrible place with terrible service. So many better bike shops in London. Avoid at all costs!

User

Appalling customer service. Disastrous management. Made me really sad when I left the shop although I should've been feeling all happy and excited to have bought a new expensive bike. Thank you very much.
