Raj was an absolute superstar. I booked a bike test last week, it was ready and waiting for me. Raj went out of his way to ensure that I knew all about the bikes and what they have to offer. I’ll be back from Rome in December and I can’t wait to buy my Christmas present to myself then! Fantastic to know they send them from London to Rome, saves me using my awful Italian to explain what I want.

Had a problem with my chain and they sorted it quickly and efficiently. Nice people. Thanks!

Bike bump outside for those caught short. Helpful service inside and a good range of clothing downstairs. Does a decent price-match too.

My new tyres were delivered to the store on the date advised. Staff very friendly as I dropped the bike off, phone call a few hours later to say the bike was ready for collection. Perfect service.

Evans cycles on Farringdon have great staff. They were so patient and discussed my options in buying a new road bike. They are the same over the phone once I thought about my choices and I decided to call back and ask them to order 2 bikes in for a test drive. I also went in before to get a Turbo, they didnt even book the sale for me but was so helpful. Great guys! highly recommended.

After snapping my gear cable on a particularly brutal hill, I needed someone to help repair it. Not wanting to take on the challenge myself (to avoid further bike damage) I went to a few bike shops in the City. Evans were the only one who could fit me in that day and said it would only take 15 minutes to repair. They communicated with me by email to confirm the job had been done and I was pleasantly surprised that the grand total for the job was only £15! Really pleasant staff who all seem to be passionate about bikes. Whilst I was there they were also really nice to a bloke who came in with a puncture and helped him repair it himself (for free).

I went in to ask about my faulty bike lock - the lock wasn't sitting against my bike anymore, in the lock holder. Chris kindly fixed it for me free of charge, in about 5 minutes. He also then patiently answered my questions, about non-related bike issues, and also gave me some solid and much needed advice on how to care for my bike. I hadn't even bought my bike from here, so it was very much appreciated.

A great big thank you to the staff at Evans Cycles on Farringdon Road. My bike chain broke on my commute home last night on Blackfriars Bridge. I popped in to Evans to see if they could help. They sold me a chain and chain link remover, as I said I could change it myself. It has actually been a few years since I mended a chain and they saw me struggling a bit, and offered to help. Very much appreciated, with their help we got the chain back on and I was up and cycling within half an hour. Thank you very much. Great service. Friendly staff.

Sadly, since Evans became private equity funded, as a chain their quality and consistency has deteriorated. That said, at Farringdon for my extended click & collect extended orders, they did a great job pulling together the multiple parts (primarily ex-display) and checking each item item off. All done in

Absolutely rubbish experience. I bought some lights from this store a couple of months ago and today one stopped working and wouldn't come on after charging. I was told they'll need to spend up to 2 weeks trying to fix it and couldn't just give me a replacement or lend me a used light in the meantime. This means that I had no option but to go to another bike shop and buy a new light. Hugely frustrating! The store assistant kept saying something like it was because the manufacturer didn't lend out lights. I don't care what the manufacturer does. I bought from Evans because I wanted good customer service. Well I won't make that mistake again, and will spend my time telling everyone I can how rubbish they are. Avoid like the plague!

Really unhelpful. They don't accept walk in's for punctures... what is the point of that shop?

I bought a brand new Trek with them and dropped it after 4 weeks for its first free service. The bike was perfect up to that point.
When I collected if after the service I noticed that the front fork-suspension was broken… how do you break a suspension during a service? And how not even the mechanics noticed it? Anyways, bike is still with them.
I extremely regret having brought my bike to Evans in the first place, will never do it again!
