Great bike shop with polite and helpful staff who have the patience and knowledge to answer my questions on equipment. I bought a nice cyclocross bike in the sale and was pleased to find the derailleur was correctly set up and worked perfectly. I've been using Evans Cycles in Waterloo for bikes and bike parts over the years and have always been pleased with the service.

Never experienced such terrible service in my life! staff don't phone back when they say they will, bike not ready for pick up until 4days after due, rude staff in store (when you finally get round to being served) ... I would actively avoid buying a bike from Evans in the future.

Good natured and attentive service, particularly for an Evans (they aren't always). Sorted my puncture quickly and cheaply, and price matched chain reaction and wiggle for some other gear I picked up in the store while waiting. The high street would be poorer without these places.

Quote from store when I phoned to book "We don't really offer that service - why don't you phone around our larger stores like Spitalfields or Wimbledon" - COME ON EVANS - SORT IT OUT!

Dear Evans - so many 1 star reviews says a lot, so I have decided to purchase my new bike somewhere else. Reviews matters - best to take note.

Walked in there with the intention of booking a service for his bicycle.... he decided to buy tyres. Tyres were pricey and he asked for a deal... they did a search for his tyres on the net, found exact same ones which were at a cheaper price and price matched them. Result! The sign in there gave me the giggles

Know the difference between a good bike shop and an average one. The lad who helped me was excellent
