Thanks to Anthony from the workshop department for getting my brakes back to life and adjusting my headset as well.

Good job.

Great experience in the shop. called up in the day to hold a bit of kit and collect later. large showroom and lots of choice.

Walked in on a busy Saturday for some help with getting my tyres seated. They quickly sorted it for me without hesitation and couldn’t have been more helpful, and didn’t charge me either! Excellent service, thank you.

I’ve had some really good last minute help from the guys here. I’m a pretty good home mechanic but I’ve used these guys for truing wheels and fitting new bottoms brackets. It’s a bit of a cycling megastore so a bit impersonal at times but some of the staff are really great.

Staff were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and willing. Alex gave excellent service and I left a very happy customer

Awful customer service. Called to book a bike fitting- publicised on their website as one of a select few branches that do it. Told person wasn't available and to call back in an hour- I asked if they could perhaps call me back, left my number. No one called. Called back and the single person who I could speak to about it (!) had apparently popped out. Again. This time they did call me back. But apparently only offer the appointments between 9am and 3:30 on weekdays. Pretty useless to most people! What a waste of time and great example of poor customer service. I won't be using this store again.

I bought my bicycle from Evans and when picking it up found the front tyre to be flat. They said someone must not have inflated it so they did this and sent me on my way. The next morning it was flat again. I called and was told it would be 2 weeks before I could bring it in and given the cost. I explained that I had just picked it up and it was flat from the beginning, either it was assembled wrong or it had a puncture from the start. The guy then got a bit short and said to "come in and get a new tube and install it yourself". Took my bike in to a shop near me and they were able to fix it in 30 minutes. Not going back.

Terrible service....unprofessional.......do not use. I called to book my bike for a gold service and repairs and they gave me a date in 2 weeks time. I dropped my bike off. (Estimated cost for a service, new gear levels, cables and chain £196.) I agreed to the repairs straight away so they could order the parts and start the service asap. Two weeks later the work was still not completed, in fact they had not even started on the service and repairs as I was told they were short staffed. Every time I called (4 occasions) to enquire about progress I was told that someone would get back to me.....and nobody did. I ended up going there personally after the two weeks to find out nothing had been done. I cancelled the service and repairs there and then and took my bike with me. They didn't even seem surprised or concerned or asked the question why I cancelled.

I took my bike to The Bicycle Service in Kingston upon Thames. They told me it didn't need a top end service and the repairs that Evans said it needed, and it ended up costing me only £69! They kept me informed during the entire process and this took them less than 24hours to complete everything. They even replaced a missing screw free of charge. My bike is now running like new.....I would highly recommend The Bicycle Service. Avoid Evans at all costs!

I must update my review from 1-star to 4-star. The management got in touch with me and resolved the concern. The bike was serviced well and within the same week. The fast response from the management is highly appreciated.

Original review---
Extremely poor management.
Irresponsible staff.
They ignored my bike service for 2 days!!!
Left my bike for service on Saturday (6/5/17) morning and was promised delivery between 5:30pm and 6pm the same day.
Went to collect the bike at 5:45pm and got a response: "Sorry, we forgot your bike. Please come tomorrow morning; we have lined it up first in the queue - it will be ready by 10:30am."
Went on Sunday at 12:30pm after calling (that was not answered). Response: "I don't know who put this bike in my queue; please come in the evening to collect it."
You do not answer the phone either.
I brought my bike back unserviced.
Result: I lost a full weekend of preparation for my next cycling event!
Such waste of time!

Went in for a brakes service, and without even looking at my bike I got told I needed new everything (chain, brakes, bottom bracket, pedals, the list went on), and it was going to cost me a small fortune. I asked them to just look at the brakes - and my bike came back in a worse condition than it went in. I took it to a local bike shop (Bright Cycles) - who took time to have a proper look, quoted for a service and did a great job. I wont be using Evans again.

Overpriced and poor customer service. Staff either condescending or don't have a clue. Waiting times for repairs are ridiculous and I personally don't think it is very good value for money. Go to the London cycle workshop in Clapham instead. The staff are really friendly here and know what they're doing.

Sales staff - brilliant. They knew their stuff, took their time with me, wonderful.

Service staff - beyond dreadful. It took them three months to fix a fairly straightforward problem which should have been covered by the warranty. What's worse, I had to chase them because they couldn't be bothered to keep me informed. It was particularly frustrating because none of the staff seemed to have either the initiative or the authority to put things right. I had to make a claim through my credit card company in the end.

One of the times I was there getting no sense from the service staff, a guy came in with a puncture. They charged him twelve quid and fixed it in a jiffy - without checking the tyre itself for the cause. A ten year old wouldn't make that mistake.
