Evee Cooper Music: Piano, Theory And Accompaniment Description
I graduated from The University of Sheffield in 2013 with a Bachelor degree in Music, where I studied piano as my main instrument. With varied interests in the arts, my main aim is to inspire and encourage people to learn the piano, whether as a new venture or to rekindle an old interest.
Therefore, while I follow the standard ABRSM syllabus in order to suit mile-stone learning, I am keen to encourage students to play music that they enjoy, so will tailor my lessons to suit each student in order to give them the best opportunity to gain an enthusiasm for the instrument and for music in general.
I am also able to provide the following services to schools:
A few of the services I can offer are:
- one-to-one piano lessons for pupils aged 6 + (30 minutes)
- choir rehearsal leading and conducting
-small group and individual recorder lessons
-piano accompaniment for concerts, assemblies or school productions
-assistance in music lessons for teachers with no musical background
-string orchestra conducting
I have a full DBS certificate, which I obtained through the Musiciansβ Union of which I am a member.

Results are in! This term, two students got Merit at Grade 1, with another only 3 marks off! One grade 3 Merit, and a completely positive Prep Test result too! My students are wonderful! π Time to relax now for the Christmas break!

I spent this weekend in London at a Continued Professional Development conference for music teachers, run by the Musicians Union. Fantastic seminars and discussions on subjects such as bringing jazz methods into the classroom and thinking of music as sound before symbols, alongside ideas of further qualifications to expand my understanding and practice of educating people in music. Excited to think through how I can best introduce some of these ideas into my teaching! βΊοΈπΉπΌπ©βππ€ #lovetheMU
Thought it was about time I shared some of my piano playing here! This is a playlist of the recordings from my Final Recital at Sheffield University back in 2013. When I listen to it, I only hear the mistakes, but I hope it is somewhat enjoyable to listen to!! π A couple of Chinese piano pieces and Brahms Drei Intermezzi. ππ΅
