What a week at UK Dairy expo 2018...

We are extremely proud to have 4 nominations for the 2017 all Britain awards here at Evening Holsteins. It’s been a great year and it’s an honour to be in the last 6 of four classes, among the best cows in the UK!!

***Ashlyn calves her 2nd!*** We are excited to announce Ashlyn has calved her 2nd and it’s a heifer by walnutlawn solomon. Delivered by James and our newest addition to team...Elijah 😊 we are really happy with how she’s looking 👍

**Two fantastic job opportunities have arisen at Evening hill farm**
1. We require an experienced tractor driver/maintenance person to join our team. The successful applicant will have experience in all sowing/silage/slurry/feeding stock/telehandler work and basic mechanical experience would be a bonus. They must hold a Full uk driving license or tractor license as road work is involved. We are looking for a punctual and driven individual that has the ability to work as part... of a team and takes pride in their work. 2. We require an individual to help with the day to day running of our 450 cow herd that are milked on a robotic system. We feel this is the ideal opportunity for a young motivated person that would like to gain skills in the dairy sector. The roll will include working some weekends. Well we are over the moon with the results we had yesterday. Its an honour just to share the ring with such great cows but to stand at the top is a dream come true. Thanks to Riverdane for the opportunity to bring Ashlyn to Evening and a massive well done to mark for his lifetime commitment award...very well deserved! Thanks to everyone that's helped us along the way especially Luke Lancaster for his amazing job fitting the cows he is one of the best in the business! Thanks to Isaac Lancaster for a professional lead job and to Dennis O'Neil for his help on show day. The girls are settling back in at home!!

We are over the moon to have 3 All Britain nominations in the herd with (pictured in order)... EVENING DAMION STELLA EX93 max score 3rd calf 5yr old class. EVENING STANLEYCUP JENNIFER VG89 max score 2nd calf senior 3yr old class. WARNELVIEW WINNERS SILVERWINGS EX93 max score 3rd calf 4yr old class (owned by s.sutton and w.stead) 2016 was a great year showing for us at locals, nationals and being part of the Great Britain team in Colmar. We look forward to seeing you all at the shows this year

We classified in December and we had 16 new excellent cows and 9 vg 2 year olds. Highlights were Evening mr Sam Marion Ex95 5 calves, Evening Talent Sallie 2 EX94 4 calves, Evening Million Marion VG89 2 calves max score and Evening Meridian Flash VG87 2yrs.
