What a company, bent over backwards to help out, very patient with my griping and with my problem have been over accommodating in helping me out, if ever I need another machine for my workshop, I'll definitely look in your direction!

Just got the rage 3s mitre saw love it only thing is it didnt come with a dust bag which i think it should have for that price but apart from that its great

User

Ive had my evolution stone saw for almost a year now. The thing is amazing. I can lean on it to cut with no bogging down. It cuts 100× better then the gassers. I cant wait to buy the cold cut saw

Its been near a year since I bought my evo system, with pressure washer attachment and genny. I was so delighted by its design and the customer service I recieved when I bought it I gave it a big 5 out of 5 on the screw fix website. I reserved any marks on reliability at the time of purchase as there was no way for me to know. There have been two occasions where the kit has been mildly frustrating, however if you read on you will find out how it was resolved and why I think this still deserves a big 5. The engine has not missed a beat in the approx year i've had it, with some more than average usage, on some jobs heavy usage, so for me not in question.

The first gripe I encountered was the petrol cap cover came apart when I was using it and was quite hard to get back on. When I emailed Evo they sent out a new much better cap, which feels really sturdy and goes on better.

The second gripe comes in two parts, to start the motor you need to pull the ripcord thing, I can't think of what its called at the moment but you know what I mean. Quite quickly the plastic handle used to grip it started to break when the cord was recoiled. An issue that can be resolved with a bit of tape to stop it feeling sharp. Eventually however, it did just become a knot with a bit of tape, and I would suggest to the company that a sturdier handle gets sourced but who am I!

The second part is when the cord snapped, I am being open minded about the cause of the snappage, I try to start it at funny angles as the genny/pressure washer get moved around with my work. When I emailed the customer service team, I was expecting to receive a new cord and handle and to spend a bit of time, winding up the cord onto the mechanism. However, I was delighted to receive the cord in its housing all wound up and ready. I simply unbolted the old cage and reattached the new one. Up and running in minutes Delighted!

Its a great bit of kit that has not let me down mechanically and the above issues got dealt with quickly and better than I would have hoped for, still a 5 out of 5 for me.

I have used Evolution saw's over a year now.

Still using same blades and have cut many different materials. Can't find anything bad to say, and i'am known as a whiner.

User

I have 3 saws from Evolution, my oldest being a Rage 3 210mm mitre saw which has been brilliant, both in accuracy and power. Unfortunately I damaged the fence, my own fault, so I contacted the sales dept to see if I could get replacement parts. The lady I spoke to could not have been more helpful, we sorted the part no.s and I paid over the phone there and then. The bits arrived within 3 days, wonderful service. I could not recommend any company more highly than this one, you would do a lot worse buying someone else's saws. Keep up the great work and thank you.

User

I brought a circular saw via Screwfix it packed up in less than a year exchanged for another no quibble no fuss

User

Great company and very fair. I bought a mitre saw from Screwfix and the dust bag was not in the box. After a short discuss with Michelle on the phone she sorted a replacement there and then without quibble or charge. Great service!

User

Finally a brand that offers excellent power tools at great prices!

I was sceptical when purchasing the chop saw and legs but have been very impressed by the build quality and versatility of it, I use mine for some really heavy duty work and it has stood up to an incredible amount of abuse and the original cutting disc handled literally hundreds of cuts into steel racking uprights before it's showed any signs of wear.

Owing to how well the chop saw performed when I needed a cheap circular saw I went straight for the evolution one as it was priced a good £30 below the next branded saw, only used it for a day but can already tell it's going to be up to the job and it feels like a much more expensive item.

Would 100% recommend these two tools and if they are anything to go by then I'm certain the rest of the evolution range is going to be just as good.

Bought a saw yesterday Rage3 was dubious about the blade as I was cutting laminate flooring but it was spot on. Shame that there was no dust bag included but overall and excellent piece of kit

Where can u get parts

User

I recently bought a Rage hand held saw. This mark would have been 5 stars if it had a sawdust collection bag as an option. Unfortunately Evolution don't make one - a major deficiency in my book as it is impossible to work indoors without one. Believe me I tried it for about two minutes in a garage then had to relocate outdoors. For a DIY tool this is not acceptable especially in this country with its propensity for rain.

User

From day one I thought my blade was warped, didn’t spin true. I ordered another blade and had the same issue, now I need to check out the spindle/shaft to see if that spins true. Fairly happy with it but will not use it for anything needing accurate cuts.

User

we bought a 210mm Fury mitre saw - great tool absolutely crap quality control - The first one we bought (B&Q) was DOA (didn't work at all). On the second one the bevel lock lever not attached and table locking knob had a loose screw rattling around inside which we had to fix before we attached it. All in all, an unsatisfactory start bnut it's hard to fault the working tool.

User

Great mitre saws for the price. What I regret is that their blades aren't standard sizes. Most blades have an arbor size of 30mm while Evolution chose 25,44mm, meaning they force you to buy their blades to a price they decide. It's 2 to 3 times more expensive than the blades you can find at the DIY shops, be aware

User

Application: 2.5" x 0.188" wall square tube.

Pro's: Fairly accurate miter cuts, better than an abrasive chop saw. Fast shipping 4 day's to my door. Simple setup, 15-30 minutes from box to 1st cut. Initial cuts were easy and as expected with the "multi-purpose" blade.

Con's: Work clamp is kinda cheezy, top clamp comes loose from the flat allowing rotation of the clamp after a few cuts do to vibration. Laser alignment failed within the dozen cuts. Cutting table has a raised portion in the center creating a "wobble" up/down left to right and could impact your miter if not consistent in material positioning. Multi-Purpose Blade included in the box failed after only 17 or so cuts (all Metal cuts as defined in application at a 45deg angle). An Evolution "Metal only" blade and a replacement "Multi-purpose" blade were ordered at the same time as the saw, however not received yet.

I will provide an update after testing of the "metal only" blade.

Hey people,

A word of advice, do not fall prey to this company, mark their name, EVOLUTION COMPANY UK OR ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD, this people are wolfs in sheeps clothing, I bought their product and twice they sent me their garbage, be ware of them, they very irresponsible company with a bunch of greedy souls in it.

Be warned, I still have their garbage product, I don't know what to do with it now as they sent me a wrecked generator not fit for any purpose.

I rated them 1star cause there's no zero, that would have been tge rating for them as that is what they deserves, ZERO 'O'.
