Evolve Endurance Events

Triathlon & Open Water Swimming Events based at our stunning location in the heart of Yorkshire.

You may have done an open water swim event but the Amphibian is something different! As well as a swim in the gorgeous waters of the Blue Lagoon as the name suggests after each 500m of the swim you will need to evolve from the water on to the land run 100m back to the beach from which you started and once again evolve back into the water for another swim lap. Once you've done enough swim laps to total the distance of your event you evolve to the land for a final time to run to the finish line! At this point you can call yourself an Amphibian! ! ! All this happens with the roar of the spectators who will be lining the 100m run and the funky music playing that has been chosen by you the Amphibians to be playing whilst you swim.


Our Amphibians can choose from swim distances of:
1km

(2 x 500m swim, 1 x 100m run /walk)

2km

(4 x 500m swim, 3 x 100m run /walk)

5km

(10 x 500m swim, 9 x 100m run /walk)


Perfect for novice swimmers or swimmers new to open water swimming, the 100m stretch can be walked or run and allows Amphibians a brief break in the swim challenge and is also and opportunity to grab a drink or energy gel from from the feed station. Equally awesome for seasoned swimmers who fancy something a bit different, and triathletes who are after some Mass Start & ‘Aussie Exit’ practice.

What does it cost?

1km £35 (min age 12 years on day of race)
2km £40 (min age 18 years on day of race)
5km £45 (min age 18 years on day of race)


BTF Home Nation Race Licence Holders are eligible for a £3 discount on race entry (cost of a day licence)
