evolve mtb is run by Tony Williams, a Devon lad with a passion for biking.

Tony has been riding bikes since the age of two, scaring the hee-bee-gee-bee's out of his mum & dad

whilst bombing down the hill outside the house.

Tony set up evolve mtb in May 2008, after having a lighbulb moment on a chairlift in the French Alps.

At the time he was an Area Youth Worker for Devon County Council, part of this role was to take young people out on bikes during school holidays. Seeing there was no actual providers of mountain biking in the area, he thought you only live once, let's go for it!

Tony's whole ethos behind evolve mtb is to get people of all ages, sizes & abilities onto bikes, enjoying the great outdoors.

A keen competitor, Tony has competed in cross country races in the 90's with him now racing downhill & enduro regionally & nationally, often finding himself on the podium in almost every race he enters. Tony is the 2014 South West Downhill Champ, 3rd place at The British National DH Champs 2016, 3rd place at the 2015 English DH Champs in his category. Currently riding for Hot Pursuit Cycle (check their awesome shops out in Kingsteignton & Totnes) Whackjob Clothing & Tony is an ambassador for KORE bike components. .

Tony is a British Cycling Level 2 MTB coach, MBLA Trail Leader & a trained OTC Technical Mountain Bike Leader, also a nationally qualified youth worker with a vast experience of working with a wide range of young people & different agencies.

He's fully insured, enhanced CRB checked and has risk assessments etc if you should require to view them.
