Eweleaze Farm

About Eweleaze Farm

Referred to as "the Glastonbury Festival of UK campsites" (CoolCamping. co. uk), Eweleaze opens for just 4 weeks every summer.

Eweleaze Farm Description

Around every August we open Eweleaze Farm for tent camping for just 4 weeks. The campsite is located 1km off the road down a farm track, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, making it quiet and secluded, and safe for children. There are extensive sea views from most parts of the site, and guests have the use of the of the private beach, which forms part of the farm.

Following a successful season in 2013, we are opening Eweleaze for along similar lines to last year. We will have the usual range of facilities. New for this year will be an updated heating system for the Turkish Bath House. Also we are providing hot water to all the sinks this year, and gas back-up to the solar heated units.

The site covers several fields so it doesn't feel crowded, even on busy weekends, and it is usually possible to choose your own pitch. Friends and families can camp in groups as they please, and parking by your tent is allowed on most of the fields. There is loads of room for kids to run around, fly kites, play ball games and the like.

Campfires are allowed, adding to the atmosphere. Firewood is available bagged in the shop, as well as from a free wood pile near the farmyard.

Today the Red Arrows will be flying over Weymouth Bay from 5.30pm. Make sure to get a good spot to watch them as they pass over the campsite!
From 5.15pm - 6.15pm, all our service points will be closed to allow the chance for everyone, including our staff, to enjoy the spectacle. Normal service will resume from 6.15pm.

Mud, mud, mud! The tracks are pretty bad today (Wednesday). Weather cleared now so hoping things will improve soon.
Stopped cars driving to the fields today, and guys are ferrying things to the camping pitches in 4x4s.
