Exciting Escapes Description
Exciting Escapes are thrilled to bring the global phenomenon that is Escape Rooms to Hampshire. Working together in a small group of 2-7 people, your challenge is to solve puzzles and mysteries together while the clock ticks down. Each room has a story that you play a part in, and each presents its own unique challenges for a truly entertaining experience. Will you accept the challenge?
You don’t need to know exactly how it works before you arrive. One of our team will meet you from the door, take you through the game, and be on hand to help you if you need it. Thousands of people are already taking on the ‘Escape Room’ challenge each week across the UK. If you’re looking for something fun, different, and enjoyably challenging then this is for you!
Friends and Families
Maybe it’s the chance for you and a bunch of friends to do something really different for an hour or two. Maybe this is the opportunity for you to entertain the kids doing something together that you will all enjoy. Whatever the reason, get a group together for a time to remember, solving puzzles and mysteries while the clock ticks down
Gamers
Time for a new challenge. Step away from the screen and immerse yourself in a real-life gaming experience. No chance to ‘save’, press the ‘pause’ button or lower the difficulty level. This is about you, your team, and 60 minutes on the clock.
Team building
Do you want the chance to do something really different as a team? Learning about how you work together, what you can do to get the best out of each other, and having a lot fun at the same time. We have a specialist offering based on years of experience developing effective teams which we can then tailor to your specific needs
Date night
Do you fancy doing something different for a night out with your other half? Popping out for a quick drink then popping in to have some escapist fun. Maybe it’s a first date, and you want to take them somewhere different? Maybe it’s just one of those rare nights out and you don’t want to waste it doing the same old thing. Either way, this is for you!

Whether you want some fun together before you go out to eat and drink, or you would like us to host the whole event at one of our four locations, we'll create something that works for you. We can host groups from 2 to 50 at our sites in Basingstoke, Southampton and now Portsmouth with 15 exciting escape experiences to enjoy.

After the long, hot spell it looks like we are in for some cloud and rain. If only there was something more fun to do on a wet day than just jumping in puddles.......
What a fantastic birthday treat! 4 youngsters v 4 not-so-youngsters in 2 identical rooms. The young'uns managed to escape 6 minutes before us, but we escaped with 7 minutes to spare, a great room with some brilliant puzzles! Our hosts were very welcoming and informative, thank you for making our experience perfect. highly recommend it for a fun evening!
Took my dad and brother for birthday gifts and we all loved it! Their newest escape has been created amazingly and I loved the details and hard work put into it! Would have liked longer to enjoy it all but then we wouldn’t have escaped on time!! We will be back to escape other rooms!
Something new for #datenight - it was our first ever escape room and we loved it. We didn’t make it out but enjoyed it so much - amazingly clever and so well thought through. Jess was brilliant - and the photo at the end was a great way to finish the evening. We’ll definitely be back!

Just trialled the new ‘spies in space’ room in Shirley and can highly recommend it. A good mixture of brain games, skill and psychical activity. Loved it!
I've been to both Basingstoke and Southampton and have done the 50's, 60's (I think? The cinema one!) and 80's room and each one have been amazing. Challenging, fun and something completely different for an hour! And even more of a bonus we have completed each room! Hooray!
Hubby and I had our first go at an escape room set in the 1970’s about a copper on the take. Sadly we didn’t get out but had a great time this really makes you think. It’s really good fun we will have another go but hopefully bring people more intelligent then us!!!

Did the 1957 Cold War escape room in Basingstoke with 3 friends on 2 August. It's so well organised and there's great variety in the puzzles we had to solve. It far exceeded our expectations for a first escape room. Thank you!
Did one of the escape rooms last night and it was honestly one of the best things we have ever done! It was so fun and the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind which made it even more of an enjoyable experience! Would 100% reccomend. Can't wait to go back to try different rooms! :)
Couldn't recommend enough. Staff were amazing, I completely screwed up the booking and turned up a day late. They went over and beyond to fit us in, I think someone stayed late just so we could do it. Haven't laughed so hard for ages. Can not wait to go again :)
Completed my first ever escape room experience yesterday for a friends birthday. Absolutely loved it and would certainly recommend to everyone! I will definitely be coming back �
Came here for an activity as we passed through Southampton on a rainy day. Was a brilliant experience, really cleverly thought and extremely challenge! There was just two of us but it still worked well and we had a great time. Alexander helped us through being spies and gave lots of handy clues!
Brilliant, staff really friendly, looking forward to going back and trying another room. Highly recommend. Thanks for a great time.

Absolutely loved this experience. Our host Alistair was great, made us feel very welcome and really good in his character.
We were in the Record room and thought the clues were so well thought out and put together.
We managed to escape with only 10 seconds to spare!
Will definitely be back.
