Well as most of you know, the new D.V.S.A manual regulating the manner in which cars are tested in the UK is now being enforced. I have had the opportunity to dfiscuss this with loads of Testers. Most are getting on with it but seem very nervous about the implications that the new manual has on customers. Diesel powered vehicles and their owners are very concerned ( cannot blame them.) as the new manual states clearly, any smoke of any colour emitted from a diesel engine and the vehicle will fail the inspection. Number plates tend to be a bit of an issue as well. I would advise testers to carefully note what the manual says and dont be afraid to measure if you have to. Obviously if you need any assistance call our help desk which is manned by four qualified assesors and they will give you advice going forward.
