Exmoor Camping And Caravanning Description

Headgate Farm Camping and Caravanning Site
Exmoor National Park
Just Opened

Beautifully secluded site on a working farm close to moorland

You are now, within 267 square miles of the Exmoor National Park, a place to relax, to energise or just have the time to stop and stare.

If you are looking for a break away from the hustle and bustle you have certainly come to the right place. That doesn’t mean if you want action you won’t be able to find it. We are able to suggest a range of activities, secret picnic spots and lovely places to have dinner.

The site is surrounded by open farmland and a variety of animals
Horses, sheep, alpacas, geese, chickens, dogs and a kunekune pig called Sam

The moorland is within easy walking distance approximately one mile where the Exmoor Ponies roam wild together with the Red Deer.

The hosts Judy and Henry have a wealth of knowledge of what makes Exmoor special. Their farm is close to the moors with all its attractions, ideal for walking, cycling, fishing, shooting & horse riding. Walk along lanes & through woodland to reach the moors, where the views are breathtaking & the peace & quiet amazing

The farm although in a very secluded area is just a five minute drive to the nearest village, with shop & post office that sells nearly everything, together with two public houses & a church, the town of South Molton is 6 miles, Barnstaple & Tiverton 18 miles & the stunning North Devon sandy beaches approximately 25 miles. Junction 27 of the M5 motorway is a 30 minute drive away

Good Morning Campers ⛺️ 🚐 and what a stunning morning 😁 with mist in the valleys and wall to wall sunshine above ☀️. The forecast for the next few days is amazing, a little cooler but worth getting out there to enjoy the peace and quiet and absorb the sunshine 😉. See you soon 👍

I am amazed at how resilient some Campers are in this weather and so happy and jolly. I take my hat off to them 💕 I also don't blame those who didn't turn up due to the weather forecast 💦💦💦. It's supposed to be sunshine from late this afternoon for a few days with temperatures rising ☀️☀️☀️ so see you soon 👍 😉
