Aside from all the wonderful cognitive benefits that pretend play has to offer, it is important to remember that pretend play is very often physical and is a wonderful way for children to be active, to exercise and to develop their motor skills. Gross motor skills are put to good use as pilots run around flying their aeroplanes!!!

We would like to welcome Miss Shannon to our expanding Explorers team.
Miss Shannon is completing her level 3 apprenticeship with us and will be working with us full time. She comes from a large family with lots of younger siblings, and is a real natural with children and is already making a massive impact to the children’s learning and development.
We are excited to support new talent coming in to the childcare profession!

Water Play provides hours of rich and valuable early childhood experiences to develop children's creativity and imagination.
It helps children develop eye-hand coordination and math and science concepts. It also enhances social skills and encourages cooperation.

We enjoyed another great visit to the local swimming pool last week.
Swimming not only helps children develop confidence in the water it also helps to boost a child’s socialisation skills and also boosts their self-esteem.

Our Explorers were certainly making most of the sunshine yesterday!
There’s nothing better than playing in the water to cool ourselves down!
