Express Minicabs | Croydon Taxi Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Luton

I ordered a taxi for 6.30am to Gatwick unfortunately flight delayed rescheduled for 8.30am. Taxi arrived 25 minutes late no apology from driver. About 10 minutes into the journey my daughter realised she had left her purse behind so we had to return.
Driver announced that he was charging an additional £10 for turning back I totally understood this, but I mentioned that I would be taking £10 off for his late arrival too. If the taxi had arrived promptly at 8 30am and we were not ready we would have been charged waiting time so our assertion that we were taking £10 off for his late arrival was perfectly reasonable. Driver became very argumentative, said it wasnt his fault he was late as he had only been given the job at 8.10. He pulled over stopped the car refused to drive until we paid the fare up front.This unprofessional and appalling behavior was endorsed by the manager of taxi firm who told him to cancel the job and come back to office. As much as I would have been very happy for job to be cancelled we had a plane to catch and we very reluctantly paid. The declaration lifted from the website 'We provide the highest level of service in Croydon. Our customers are our priority.....' is the furthest thing from the service I received. Do not use this taxi firm you have been warned!

Book an airport taxi for my aunt who is coming to London for the first time. I don't want her to worry about anything. So I asked the controller if I could pay for it, so they took the details. Without any problem, my aunt reached a safe destination. The driver was very friendly and professional. Thank you express car for an incredible ride.

I used this service twice in one day, to get from home to hospital and back. Waiting time was minimal, less than 5 minutes on both occasions. The journeys were swift and direct, the drivers professional, courteous and helpful. The cabs were in reasonably good condition, clean and fresh smelling, costs were reasonable. Great service and will use again happily.

This taxi service is pet friendly and on 2 occasions they have been able to provide a cab for myself and my dog at short notice. I also left my phone in the car and the driver kindly returned it. I cannot rate them highly enough my experience with them has been great
