Extra Motorway Services Cambridge

Big, very busy motorway services. Good place to stop for servicing. They have KFC and stuff like that, pretty standard. It can be annoyingly difficult to get to going south, as once you turn off the motorway, the correct turnings are not really signposted.You basically want to hang a hard a left straight away.

The toilets are pretty gross, but that's to be expected.

Lovely services, lovely, picturesque.

Schoolboy error locating Greggs outside the main hall, outdoor entrance ensures the shop and consequently the pasties are even colder. Still ate it though. Grease is grease is grease. Yum.

Always stop here on my way to and from family home in Suffolk - great for a quick bathroom stop and a coffee to get me the rest of the way there or back

We stop here several times a year, it's a great place with so much different food options. The entire place is clean and it's great having a nice chill on a long journey.

One of the most varied service stations I've been too. Not only do they have usable caravan parking (which you don't have to reverse into), they have a great selection of food outlets, including a noodle bar, which I have never seen in a service station before. It was very busy, and the caravan bays aren't actually quite long enough to fit in, so they lose a star for that. But it's a good place to stop to eat. I didn't check on electric charge points.

Easy to use, clean, good for short meetings over a coffee. Fuel at Shell is a few pence over Tesco, but convenience wins. Plenty of places for food and a hotel on site. Watch out for the three hour maximum stay though...

One of the bigger services I have been to. Has everything you'd expect from motorway services except larger. Toilets are almost always in a good clean condition. Plenty of places to eat from if you're fussy as well. Plenty of parking.

Services are fine, toilets were as expected. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the lack of staff at KFC and McDonald's. The queue was very long at KFC so I went to McDonald's as they have the new order screens. Order went through fine but no receipt paper in the machine. Waited a couple of minutes for my order to be prepared which was fine but, the assistant who was handing out the orders looked like he couldn't care less. Kept myself and others waiting for several minutes to collect our orders. Management were not at all concerned as they looked over a few times from behind and then got together for a chat and look at their mobile phones. McDonald's need to take a good hard look at this site. I have never waited this long for a McDonald's order before, even at the busiest of times.
Even the young lad at the till taking cash orders looked he didn't want to be there. Clearly shows that they are all part time staff working over the summer holidays. If I'd know this was going to be the case then I would have just grabbed a sandwich from one of the shops. If you see a queue with less than 10 orders on the screen, then it might be worth considering an alternative option as you order will probably reach you slightly warm at best.

Plenty of places to eat. An m&s food store and a convenience store. Loads of parking. It was clean and tidy. A nice little picnic area but it's used a lot by smokers which isn't so great.

Better than average service area with a great range of food outlets including a Patisserie Valerie and an Ed's Easy Diner. There are serviced offices for business use and a Ramada providing accommodation in an area where hotel rooms are at a premium.

As motorway services go, this is pretty decent. The Marks and Spencer and Patisserie Valerie are very handy when on your way to visit friends, or heading back home. Clean enough and not too noisy. I rather enjoyed a cheap and cheerful meal in the american diner thing the other day - very nice well trained staff - food was nothing special, but then you wouldn't expect it to be!

Went in this services due to traffic queues. What a surprise such a large venue, with wide choice of food outlets. Suitable for all pockets. Amazing food and cakes at Cafe Valerie

I was LITERALLY gobsmacked by the array of high quality food on offer: burgers, chicken, bacon, noodles, spinach. The list is endless. It was a like the dream where I go into Asda and Philippa Forester is preparing my favourite meal on a camping stove near the frozen food aisle.
