Hello everyone, we have some exciting news for you. After a successful proposal for an asset transfer from Bedford Borough Council, we are now the very proud lease holders of the Church Lane Community Centre. We are proud to be the first to do this in Bedford. FACES will work hard to make sure that the whole community benefit and we have made a start with the Youth Club and with our LunchBox @ FACES holiday project. We would like to say thank you to all that helped make this ...happen with a special mention to Cllr Anthony Forth and Cllr Jade Uko who have been with us on this journey. FACES will always be happy to hear ideas from you about what you want from The Centre and what you think is needed for local people to enjoy and benefit from. We will also soon be launching a community cafe and we are looking for volunteers to help us run this and other events. We will be advertising the Community Centre Volunteer Courses very soon.

WOW WOW WOW - what a fantastic week at FACES. Our new youth service has over 50 young people signed up and enjoying the fantastic activities, among other things some of the young people have learnt to make home made burgers. Our Lunchbox@FACES has gone down very well with the children and their grateful parents. One of us may have even won an award this week (cough cough). It is baking hot in our offices so we are going to call it a day - have a wonderful weekend:)

Couldn't be prouder of our CEO Wendie Harvey who won an award at The Police and Crime Commissioner Awards today. All of the nominees were absolutely amazing. Well done Wendie huge congratulations from us all 😊

FACES are proud to share that after our annual audit yesterday from The British Assessment Bureau we have maintained our excellent record with Certification for another year 😊

We had a fantastic turn out last night at the launch of our Youth Club for 8 to 15 year olds here at Church Lane Community Centre, 147 Church Lane, Goldington. The Youth Club will run every Wednesday from 6.15 - 8.15 apart from 15 and 22 August. If you didn't come along last night come along next week and you can try your hand at boxing, keep fit, drama, art, music and much much more. We are always looking for new activities, what would you like to see?

Please keep up the amazing work you do, without it a lot of young people and their families in BEDFORDSHIRE wouldn't be getting the support and help they needed!
