Last Weekend I had the pleasure of making this custom Lego Play Bag. Lays flat to allow easy access to all pieces with a 1m diameter. Then once play is over the drawstrings allow it to form into a bag for quick and easy storage.
Are we all ready for another quarter of productivity? 1. Giant Toy bags for my son. There are three here that I haven't finished in this picture. I have done 1 but I have another two to complete. 2. Batik Disappearing Hour Glass Quilt. It's all basted, I just need to Quilt it. 3. Two Christmas cushions I have cut but need to piece. Each retreat we have a three day swap. Friday and Saturday we sneakily give small gifts to our assigned partners then on day 3 we announce ourselves with the main gift. My partner was not a quilted but someone with really cool sewing skills! (Clothes etc) I decided to make her a double zip gear bag (PatternsbyAnnie). What I learnt whilst doing this.... Another Alison Glass Project. Kept it simple with rainbow stripes with Appliqué letter. I stupidly forgot to take a final picture, so I have used Jacqui's 😀 In return this is the fabulous badge made for me by the amazing Trudi. https://faerydaestitches.wordpress.com/†¦/sewin-retreat-nam…/
I loved loved loved making this pattern from Fandom In Stitches. My partner for the #maythe4thmqs3 swap on instagram, was a fan on Alison Glass. As we know, at the beginning of the year I developed myself quilt a large Alison Glass stash so I just had to have a rainbow background. This I added some curved corners and a Star Wars pouch. Super pleased and struggled to put him in the post. https://faerydaestitches.wordpress.com/20 …/…/08/rainbow-bb8/
Q1 saw me complete My Precious, an EPP dragon and his hoard of Alison Glass Gems but the rest of the projects remained untouched. During Q2 I have a weeks holiday (during which Xander will be with my parents) and the Simply Solids Sew In Retreat. Meaning I have a lot of time to sew! 1. Omg I did it! I actually managed to finish something I said I was going to finish!!! Only 1 out of 10 but still! This finish has been shipped off and will be appearing at the Quilt and Stitch village in Stafford next weekend. I cannot wait to see him hanging up next to all the other Fantasy and Myth entries. Had the pleasure of creating this memory blanket for a special little girl out of her late Granny, Grandad and Uncle who never got to meet her. The various fabrics and textures make this a fabulous tactile experience for a baby discovering the world and the family who love her from afar.
This quilt is all ready now for its customer :-D love the collection of owls she now has in a pillow, quilt and clock.
So we are now in that time zone where I get to work in the "dark" and leave well after dark. But at Christmas I don't mind so much. This is Regent Street on my way to and from the office after/before my 1.5hr commute.
So my last post was about my Christmas Tree so here it is! Featuring my magpie cat, Lambda, who likes to play and collect shiny things.
What is everyone up to this morning? I have built the Christmas tree, ready for hubby and toddler to decorate whilst I complete a batch of customer orders :-) very excited to start my day!
Good Evening everyone! It has been a busy few weeks at Faerydae Stitches HQ. Everyone is in order mode especially for my photo pillows. ORDER BOOKS FOR CHRISTMAS WILL BE CLOSING TOMORROW! If we have had a conversation and we're still in discussion then I will honour the order provided payment is made within the next 7 days! :-)
Craft Fair today in Witney, Oxfordshire. If you are local it would be great to see you.
