Falck Fire Services UK is delighted to announce that it has extended its excellent relationship with Quorn Food until 2024 to provide firefighting, medical response and security services.
Quorn Foods is the world’s leader in meat alternatives with a vision to create better protein for people and the planet, addressing global health and sustainability issues.... On 15 November 2018 the world’s biggest meat alternative production facility officially opened at Quorn Foods’ Belasis site in Billingham, in the North East. The factory expansion of 9,500m2 will double production capacity of Quorn’s core products, adding approximately 20,000 tonnes per annum. It is part of a £150m investment by Quorn Foods, reflecting an increase in flexitarian and vegan diets, and the fact that the UK is the most advanced meat-free market in the world
Steve Finn, Quorn Foods’ Belasis Site Manager said: “It’s been a very exciting time for the business on Teesside, the design, construction and commissioning of the new facilities has been a significant challenge. What Makes you Happy....
Earlier in the year a number of companies in the local area set a task to the local schools to design, paint or draw a picture of things that made them happy.
The response we got was overwhelming...
... We have been running the local community calendar for 30+ years now which goes out to all households closest to our site, the calendar provides relevant information to the local surrounding community as awareness of the alarms that are sometimes heard by all, contact numbers etc.. we estimate that over 100,000 people get to see the calendar every year.
On Thursday the 13th December we presented 2 children from one of the many schools that entered and whose artwork was outstanding with a certificate and a gift (see picture below), the the two winners where Shaun Walker and Cole Donaldson from High Clarence Primary, we also presented Jean Orridge school Head Teacher with £150 cheque which will go towards the fantastic work she does with the school.
We would like to say a big thank you to all the schools that took part in the event we know how challenging it can be to slot in extra tasks in the school curriculum.

-Tackling stigma on mental health in the workplace... -Challenge discrimination in the workplace -Promote equality of opportunity in recruitment and selection -Encourage mental health welbeing -Mostly Raise awareness of local mental health support services
The Mental Health Charter is designed to promote inclusivity for people experiencing poor mental health, in their workplace.
Falck strongly encourages anybody who feels they may be suffering from mental health to access the free mental health support services or speak to your employer as they have an interest in the welbeing of all there staff.
