Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Peaceful wooded surroundings. Close to Hadrian's wall and a 45 minute train journey from Newcastle. Owners were very helpful and welcoming.

Just came back from our 1st family camping trip here and wow we were greeted by lynne in the reception/shop who got us booked in even changed the pitch so it was nearer the toilet blocks as we had two kids a huge help as they had a few trips to the toilets every then John drove us to put pitch told us where things were and said if we needed any help just shout!! Got the tent pitched up a bit quicker as the rain decided to pay us a visit once we got all sorted it was time explore the lovely well kept site and while walking around the other campers and caravaners were all nice chatting and the toilet blocks were spotless and a nice surprise heated there are plenty to accomadate the campers and a security codeded entry system .we seen John driving around the site allnthe time emptying bins and checking the only thing what lets the place 9down a little is a play area for the little ones but there are some lovely walks rite on the doorstep and what I think is a must is the local iñdian take away fantastic good food and free delivery up to the site gates the number you get from the reception. We dod try to order a Chinese take away but none in Hexham do delivery they did offer to do a take away and send it in a taxi but you were looking at around £7 so we just stuck with the Indians so all in all a fantastic site lovely clean place lovely friendly owners we are booking for may next year can't wait

Beautiful site and really well managed. Lovely showers, and great countryside walks. Will definately go back.

Just returned from 2 nights at this campsite. It was okay for a short stay - agree with some previous reviews that a play area for the kids would be nice as there are lots of signs stating what children are not allowed to do. The toilets and showers were spotless and lovely. There is no access by car into the campsite after 11pm and as we had specifically booked the observatory event we arrived back at midnight and there was limited parking. As there is a gate accessed by a key card anyway the extra security of not allowing anyone after 11pm seemed a bit excessive.

A welcome sight after a long drive. Welcomed by friendly people and takeaway delivery in what felt like the middle of nowhere. Clean and well presented, we hope to return soon.

Gutted to be home had 7 days away at Fallowfield dene camp site, it only felt like 2 days. We had that good of a time. It was lovely and peaceful we only had a little problem on one day when the toilets were closed but it was due to some lovely people on the camp site putting nappies down the toilet which was sorted in a couple of hours. The head wardens Lynne and John were absolutely spot on as they are every time we have been there. Can`t do enough for you just ask and they are happy to oblige with any queries you have. We love this site we have been coming since 2004, never met a more lovely couple like Lynne and John the camp site is clean, quiet and lovely atmosphere. Thanks again Lynne and John for a fab break. we will be back again :) see yous soon

Very nice quiet, rural, dog freindly, wooded site a short drive north of Acomb.
Site very clean & tidy with free hot water in decent heated shower block & @ washing up areas. Nice green open glade in centre of site for tents.
Public footpath running next to the site gives a choice of pleasent walks leading from the site.
Hadrian's Wall is just a few minutes drive north.
Site has a small shop that did run out of gas when we were there on May bank holiday so not suprising really! (My own fault for not having a full spare, I know).
Go Outdoors is only 30 minutes away in Newcastle.
Right on the edge of some of the most beautiful countryside & coastal areas we have visited in the UK.
Nice friendly & helpful staff on site which always helps make a stay pleasant.
Clearly the team there are very proud of their site & work hard to keep it up to standard.

Lovely park. We use this site whenever possible and is very well run by John and Lynn. Always pleasant and washrooms always immaculate. Hexham is only five minutes away in car and you can stock up on everything you need. Choice of hardstanding pitches or grass, although we like grass but sometimes if its wet, it isnt open. Tourers, tents and statics on this site and theres also a static to rent. Small shop on site and very friendly owners. You wouldnt be disappointed. Always a pleasant stay with lots to do

I have a permanent pitch on this site. Its a lovely clean and well looked after by the warden and his deputy. The toilet/shower blocks are immaculately clean. I have been to many camp sites in the North East, but Fallowfield comes out tops for me. It is situated north of Hexham and about two miles from the village of Acomb which is just off the A69. Fallowfield Camp is a secluded site and surrounded by huge trees and small hills (which keeps the wind at bay.) It is separated into small camping areas that make it more tranquil. As well as having permanent pitches it also has touring areas, which is very popular with campers and caravaners from all over the country. Their is no shop or club on site but the office does have basic food essentials. There's also no kids play area so make sure you take plenty of games to keep them occupied. This makes for a more peaceful and relaxing stay. The Mariners pub is just 200 meters from the camp main gate. It is 'down to earth' and is very popular with campers from the site and serves very good ales. This site is a must for campers who prefer to sit back and relax.
