Family Mediation Council

The FMC promotes the use of mediation when family relationships break down. It provides a collaborative forum for mediators working in the field of family mediation and works with the Ministry of Justice, government agencies to represent the views of such professionals and the adults and children who benefit from family mediation. It develops and promotes professional standards for the training and practise of family mediation and ensures adherence to these standards, through the Family Mediation Standards Board.
