Hi all, sorry for the lack of posts recently. Famous Times Live is currently taking a break as we need to find a new venue to host us. If anyone out there has got any good ideas, please let me know so I can get things up and running again. Hackney based preferred.

The last Famous Times Live of the season and we have a really wonderful treat in store. Playing songs from their latest album, Carpe Aftenoon, which was recorded in a sleepy Italian village by legendary engineer Jerry Boys (The Beatles, Buena Vista Social Club, Shakira, Ry Cooder) and features, amongst others, Phil Mazenera and Sarah Jane Morris, Loco Ironico are the genius musical union of musician and songwriter, Jo Cang and Italian muscian and composer Matteo Sarggesse. Th...ey will be joined live by a double bass player and drummer to perform an intimate set of beautiful, charming and often funny original songs telling tales of of heartache, shipwreck and weight loss and featuring melodies that have been nourished by the warmth and peace of village life and soaked in southern Italian sunshine and wine. Loco Ironico's last London gig was a sell out and we are thrilled that they have agreed to headline the last Famous Times Live of this seaon as they are the perfect band for a summer evening. Also on the bill are Famous Times Live house band The Blinding Larks who will be high-tailing it back from playing The RED ROOSTER Festival to perfom a set of original americana/folk inspired songs that feature lush three part vocal harmonies, plus up-and-coming singer-song-writer Cameron Douglas will perform new material with his band and the very talented Saboteur Awards nominee, Susan Evans will be sharing her hilarious observational poetry. Phew it's going to be a corker. As always Bar Kiosk at Chats Palace will be supplying the refreshements from 4 and music will kick off at 5. Bring your kids and your grandparents, this a gig for everyone to enjoy. See you there. Can't wait! Chats Palace 5-8pm

We're very much looking forward to having Greg Hall play at the next Famous Times Live on March 6th.
Greg's dextrous guitar playing and fragile, soulful voice imbue his songs with a unique and heartfelt intimacy.
He will be performing songs from his debut album ‘Run Barefoot Holler’, including some that were featured on the Shane Meadows film ‘Le Donk & Scor-Zay-Zee’ (Warp Films).
... Greg will be joined by Dominie Hooper on cello/backing vocals and Mick Frangou on drums.
“The beauty of the albums musical landscape create some excellent moments of clarity’’ Thank Folk For That
