Far Peak Climbing

We have been camping at Far Peak since Leicestershire went on its school holidays (17th July) and the bouldering wall has been an awesome addition to the holiday for my children.....aged 10, 9 and 7. They have been improving their confidence and strength daily and you can see them calculating which is the best route to take next. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful offering advice or encouragement when it was needed.



I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is just passing on the A429 or staying in the area.



We have also been back for a couple of days in the glamping pods and took one of the power assisted cycles out. A great way to visit the surrounding area.

We had a great half term treat at far peak. Kids didn't want to leave. Well organised and friendly staff. Lawrence had so much patience and encouragement with the boys. Nice food also.

Visited whilst staying at the campsite with our 2 girls (2 & 4). They both thoroughly enjoyed bouldering and our elder daughter also had a taster session on the climbing pillar. Her instructor (Sam) could not have been more patient & encouraging and had her zipping up & down with confidence in no time. Excellently run centre with fantastic staff. I would highly recommend.

Superb afternoon of fun for the kids today; thank you Anna & Johnny who ran our session & were fab! So enthusiastic, patient & encouraging with all 8 in the group. The tower was brilliant & the favourite with our two. Great value for money too; We will definitely be back!

Nice campsite, cool cafe, amazing climbing and brilliant kids climbing area.

My children had a fab time! Highly recommend. Sam was their instructor and he was fantastic with them.

Just camped here for the last week, I don't normally write review but the kids had an awesome time made loads of friends; great camping, lots of climbing and playing in the woods. Well organised, great staff and loads todo, Thank you!

I visited the climbing centre for the first time on Sunday with two very excited kidlets (aged 7 and 8) .... we had a super time and I literally had to drag them home! Great facilities, friendly, knowledgeable & helpful staff and reasonably priced activities. We will definitely visit again soon for a taster session and will be recommending to friends & family. Thanks for an awesome time �

I come down here with a group from Brookes climbing centre, the outdoor tower is fantastic - particularly love the overhang routes, inside too there is loads to chose from including the traverse which is so much fun and great for building strength. Generally very friendly welcoming atmosphere, especially for the club on Tuesday nights. Very helpful instructors who often give you tips which you don't get at other centres. Oh and bring a carrot to feed the lovely horses on the way into the centre! Not to be missed!

I booked the boys on the Ascenders Assemble course during the holiday. They have loved it. The staff are lovely and friendly and patient. They work with each kid at their own level and are great at being inclusive of additional needs. The session card system after the corse is great at it is so flexible. We will be back very soon. I am also planning a camping weekend some time in the summer!! Many thanks

Had my daughters 6th birthday at Farpeak today. It was brilliant! The kids loved it! And the adults all said they will definitely return. Great food from the hayloft in the lovely yurt too.

Had a fab time this weekend at the campsite and enjoyed a session of climbing on the Saturday. First time for my two little ones. They loved it. Staff really helpful and great atmosphere. Definitely be back again soon. Thanks x

Great venue and the kids loved it. Good rainy day option if you're in the area.

Great venue - amazing for familys with range of activities climbing, archery, low ropes , bush craft , tree climb , abseil sessions and bike hire also amazing food in the cafe on site and friendly smiley staff.

Great value for money, with friendly and knowledgeable instructors, my boys who are 8 and 11 loved it.�

Brilliant place! Had kids party there and they had an amazing time! Very happy children!
