With Summer League coming to an end, attention now turns to the start of the new season. That all begins with the Club Maintenance Day this Saturday 20th July. Lots of work to be done including decorating and tidying. All starting at 10:30am so come on down to help out! #beebetteruk

Club Maintenance Day - Saturday 20th July.
Please note the appointment has been shifted to July 20th from what had earlier been reported. It is important that we keep our Clubhouse and facilities to a good standard.
... Please come down and help with general chores, cleaning the bar, painting and repair, gardening, etc. Just a few hours is required to help maintain your club. Many volunteers make light work!

When the boys under 16's met the Mayor of Fareham for afternoon tea, to be congratulated on their outstanding season! Looking dapper lads 👊

🏑HANTS CUP FINALS DAY🏆
2 wins out of 4 for our sides on a sunny and thrilling day of hockey yesterday.
The boys under 16's started off proceedings with a 7-2 victory over Haslemere, always leading throughout the game. The Ferg scored 4 with Adam Shergold, Alex Elison and Finn Coleman getting the other goals.
... Our under 14 girls had a much closely fought contest against their Alton counterparts. They were behind, then took a 2-1 lead through Poppy Roddis and Hannah Ward. However, a penalty corner in the last minute levelled the scores at 2-2. Onto penalty flicks; Hannah, Poppy and Kiera all converting. It was left to Harriet to make 3 important saves and they won the shootout 3-1!
Men's 1's played in another thriller against Havant and were leading 2-1, with Enzo and Jamie Rawlkmg scoring. Havant though pegged them back and ended up winning 3-2. It just wasn't to be, despite the guys dominating large periods of the game.
Our men's 2's played last and gave it their all against Havant 3's. 8 of our players which included Hari, Aidan, Joe ET, Sully, Westie, Morgan, Samuel and Adam Shergold were all under 20 years old. They came back from behind twice to level at 2-2 but after Havant went 3-2 up, they were always a goal ahead and eventually won 6-4.
Well done to all our teams and the youngsters coming through in all the sides, shows the talent is there to be successful for many years. Thank you to the amazing support yet again from all the spectators👍

A successful night down the club for our annual end of season event.
Big thank you to the many organisers which includes Emma Jackson, Sophie Golding, The Carrot, Andy Golding, Arun Raval, Linda Young, Colin Branbury, Andy Jackson and Jo Larcombe.
... A brilliant meal was provided by Hospitality Solutions then banging tunes by Mike Sullivan plus DJ's Tom and Matt, rounded off the evening.
Well done to all our award winners on the night! Special mentions to club legend Cookie, who has retired from managing the men's 1st team, after 15 dedicated years 👍 Also Linda and Emma for their excellent after match meals, provided with ingredients by our wonderful sponsors Boxxfresh.

☀️Barbados - Club Tour 2020⛱️
LAST CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Due to popular demand we are proposing to organise another tour to Barbados for August 2020. At this stage we are just trying to establish if there is enough interest to make it happen. The last tour to the Island in 2016 was a massive success with a group of 63 representing our Club.
... THIS IS A LAST CALL TO ASCERTAIN LIKELY INTEREST, PLEASE RESPOND BY MAY 18TH. WE NEED TO ENSURE THERE IS ENOUGH INTEREST BEFORE WE MOVE TO THE NEXT PLANNING STAGE.
This invitation is not only open to club members but family and friends are more than welcome. The last tour was a mix of families, couples and singles of varying ages and the blend worked really well, if you are unsure if you would enjoy the tour…. Just speak to anyone that went🙂
